Are you a fan?
I am - but maybe its cos he has the same nickname. I'd like to know other opinions - so when he starts banging them in I can say I told you so.

So, the thing I want to know is in the early rounds Greenacre and Ifill were putting them away (And we were also letting some in at the other end).

What has happened to the game plan that has meant goals have dried up (yes, i know we have missed some sitters)?

Maybe I should just say that is me thinking out loud otherwise we'll regurgitate the angst threads for nth time (where n = some horribly large number).

Oh and I voted yay.

Still not sure, he looks good but isn't getting many opportunities.

Oh Smeltzy I gave you my heart
But the very next day you gave it away
This year to save me from tears
I'll give it to Chris Greenacre!!!

I'm a fan but it's lose-lose for him at the moment. He isn't playing with a striker that complements his abilities (most of the time he isn't playing with a striker at all) and he simply can't play up there by himself. valeo2009-10-24 22:45:37

I'm a fan of him and I really hope he gets a few more chances.

Certainly can't fault his work rate, he runs his ar5e off every game, he just needs more low, accurate crosses, & the goals will come.

cant really faulty him. Hes made decent efforts of whatever he has been given I feel. But he does need a partner in crime up top I believe. Or Mr. Creator behind him would help.

He  justs needs a friend to play up front with him, then we would be challenging the top 4!

daft not to like him. as mainland say , good things take time. atleast we know he doesnt burn out.

He's no goal scoring machine, like Smeltz used to be - but he's doing fine.

I agree with Mr. O though, I just want goals.

Bertos was leading the league on assists, now he's trying to take all the shots himself... since that goal against Perth.

Ifill has been out wider, not always close enough in to work with Greenacre on creating chances.
I think some of the communication there has gone missing.

I still vote Yay for Greenacre, I think he'll score a nuumber if we get him some better ball into the box.

We could surprise him today and pass the ball along the ground to his feet. Who knows, it might work and he might score.

His work off the ball is awesome. He drags the oppo defence all over the place creating space for our other players.

Give him decent ball and the goals will come

He has won a number of headers against far larger opposition, though.  That's often surprised me.

After that game, I will change my answer to a resounding yes. Ran his ass off all game and was a very good link man - played in the likes of Ifill well.

Yeah, easy goal for him but a good confidence booster. He always runs his ass off though - I'd never question his commitment. Let's hope he starts scoring semi-regularly now.

Fact. It's been a combination of the system not quite fitting and a bit of bad luck, have now voted BTW, definately a yay.

Slight change of system, Ifill up through the middle with Greenie, and we get 6 goals, fan-bloody-tastic

Greenie hasn't had the chances there for him this season, it has to be said.

Will be interesting to see some kind of 'Shots' and 'Shots on Target' stat to back my feeling up.

Hopefully today is the start of something big for him and the rest of the team.

Just thinking that another interesting thing on stats like that will be that Greenacre hasn't really had more shots than other people in the team.

Not only Greenacre, but also the gorilla that was on Daniel, I think he punted the out of the park though.
