Adelaide have Burns and Sarkies back this weekend. Cornthwaite out.

I just had a dream that we won v Adelaide 2-0. Might as well not play the game - already know the result.

They're missing Cassio and Costanzo as well, so they'll have a very different (and untried) defence for Daniel, Felipe and Elrich to run at.......

Let's hope that is a blessing in disguise. Especially if Costanzo is missing.

Picking up a ticket to Friday's game tomorrow, since the Becks Express travels a little further than this kid's wallet will allow him to travel. Even so, I'm itching to see the 'Nix put one over Adelaide. Next to Central Coast, Adelaide is the one side I would love to see taken down a peg or two.

It's the biggest game of the year, and so much more important than the fanfare that'll follow the evening after. Can't wait.

I'm going to be the one with the Whistle. So I might be starting the clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap PHOENIX! But instead of the claps I'll do it with a whistle. So if you hear it, get behind it... I dont want to look like a retard just whistling by myself and everyone else is just staring.

You could go to support NZ football. Whenever Beckham gets the ball you can close your eyes and cry like a baby.

what its fantastic to see is how everyone on here is talking about fridays game, that is THE important game and you are all correct - everyone who has contributed on this post (including myself) are the true fans who have been turning up to the games and if not able to make the away legs (due to cost etc) watch them on the TV, come on here after or before games and talk about the games and what we could do to improve etc.

I think the beckham game will be great, but i hate the fact that the hardcore 10,000 or so that the attendance has been approx each home game are the ones who have football knowledge, know the team, songs etc and the other 20,000 or so are football virgins who are just there to cheer on beckham (mostly women, hopefully hot!! lol) but the point is I have always been more interested in the game on friday and i hope we can do it, after fridays game i will be thinking about the beckham game on the saturday.

I will go and see the phoenix whoever they play at wesptac, hence why im going to both games( im a season ticket holder also), i would go see the phoenix vs sc**thrope utd if they were playing, as being a fan you go and support your team whoever they play and you stick with them through the good times and the bad.

last week we were soo unlucky, that mucat should be served a 2-3 match ban at least!! he was a dirty player even when he played for glasgow rangers, i remember him well, he has never changed, he is a hot head.

good call that man.

I am going to both games, but Friday is the game - Saturday a bit of a laff and a chance to get a few more punters interested in attending more matches.

We must ensure we drive up the excitement for the virgins so they want to come again.

We're hoping those 20,000 Beckham fans will leave the stadium as Phoenix fans. If brining Beckham here is what it takes, then it's worth it. Time to deflower a lot of football virgins!

yeah, i don't see the point of castigating people that wouldn't normally go see a game of footers for doing so, whatever the reason.

We ain't got the luxury here in rugby-land

Also, you have to remember that many of these people will be casual Phoenix fans - only going to games if the weather is nice, or quite content to watch it on telly, or can't afford to go to every game.

But, of course, they've made the special effort to attend an exhibition game featuring one of the most famous footballers in the world, who's in a team we'll probably never play again.

Sure, these people may not be considered "hardcore", but they're fans all the same.

Oh, adelaide game - right. Adelaide are a bit out of form lately, and given they still have a couple of injuries, we should do quite well, 2-1 is my pick, a nice revenge for last time. Are there any injury considerations for the nix?

IMO, Saturday, as many others have said, is sort of an experience of the "Beckham-mania". Bit of a laugh and and good times.

But Friday is the one. If we win this one, we can set our run in nicely with two more home league games after that.

I think it would be good if the club, through the media, was able to really push the importance of Friday's game in terms of the clubs success. I will be disapointed if 10,000 less people turn up to Adelade than the Beckham show. If this is due to Ticketik, more so!!!

Ticketek f**king me off. I'm trying to book YF tickets on the site - as the complementary ones are aisle 31 or something.

It says YF are available, when I click 2 adults it says not available at this price range. But if you click family, it says thats fine :S What the f**k?

You will be able to get into aisle 21 because the stewards only check tickets at the aisle's enterances - they don't check if you go left or right.

You are only supposed to whistle in the FZ if a nice looking lass enters. Otherwise, dont bother

Yes I know that. Also, you can edit the tickets using programs

Im just scared the FZ will be booked up by prawn and cocktail fans just flying down because of the Becks games

Until I sneak into Aisle 21, yours truly

(I asked for Fever Zone and have a vomitorium between my section of the stands and the zone. F*cking Ticketek)

Can't really call my effort singing though...

They reckon about 20k for the Adelaide game.

Are people genuinely against the whistle? anything that makes more noise in the zone is a good thing. As long as you dont pull out the lame "whistle whistle, clap clap". Whistles and drums (actually in the chants, not damn drummers) seem to be missing from YF compared to some other A-League supporter groups, but maybe theres a good reason for that?

I ended up with Aisle 31 tickets as well. I figure rather than trying to cram in on the Zone I'll probably end up staying there; the atmosphere is going to be much bigger at the friendly the next day anyway.

2-1 Against the whistle so far.

So HN the front of F.Z is the place to be right? Thats where most (ok all) of the chants are started.

Some of the Zone regulars aren't even in the Zone for Beckham, add that to security and I suspect it will miss the intensity of Friday night.
