It has backing from people like Jason Pine for this too happen, also don't think Shane Harmon would be against the idea either with 22 also being a Yellow Fever Aisle. https://twitter.com/ShaneHarmon/status/64838932278...

Sorry that was my cyncal side speaking - it probably wouldn't hurt to email the club to see if they'd support the idea and then approach the stadium peeps with the idea.

How much was Umaga being Wellington born and bred a factor in naming an aisle after him? Obvs a bit different in case of Durante.

They really should do more of this to give the stadium more colour. I guess the trick is to do it enough to add to the stadium without doing it too much so as to make it passe. For example, I remember after his untimely death there was talk of Aisle 6 being dedicated to Jerry Collins - seemed a good idea to me but of course they have now named an entire stadium in his honour.

In almost related chat we were at a cricket ODI once and we were asked what the ends were called. Officially I think it's the City End and the Port End but we told the chap they were the "Paston" End and "Fallon" End on account of their Bahrain heroics! These would be good options for Aisles 18 and 36!

Er, weren't the penalty save and the header at the same end?

Er, yes ... but each end needs a name and Paston made saves in both halves (and throughout his Phoenix career) so we dedicated that end to Pasty.

Obviously it would have been perfect in the aisle dedication notion if Rory had worn "36" then the Fallon and Paston aisles could have been at the same (correct) end and adjacent to each other.
