Yes but it’s also very family and kid friendly. They have also targeted females - who to be fair are not often cricket fans. The music, dancers, players with mics, and other “entertainment” gimmicks are all part of the 3 hour package.
Not my cup of chai - but the crowd numbers show that it works.
TV in Aussie has always been targeting women, The commentary team used to comment on it when the cameras were zoomed in on some female in a bikini in between deliveries.
