I hate it when people modify a quote and say fixed, but I had to fix this.

Trent Reznor:

"I pop the video in, and wow... Tears welling, silence, goose-bumps... Wow. [I felt like] I just lost my girlfriend, because that song isn't mine anymore... It really made me think about how powerful music is as a medium and art form. I wrote some words and music in my bedroom as a way of staying sane, about a bleak and desperate place I was in, totally isolated and alone. [Somehow] that winds up reinterpreted by a music legend from a radically different era/genre and still retains sincerity and meaning — different, but every bit as pure."

The Johnny Cash version is so much better, I hate the NIN one

I think the opposite. The Johny Cash version is only liked because he is old and dying at that point.

I don't like either version of the song, but I think that the original "Rusty Cage" is way better than Cash's cover

Needs more Gordon Watson. Really enjoyed listening to him on the podcast. The club vs grassroots conversation is a very good one.

Agreed, GGW is always good to listen to. Was surprised about him not being involved with the OFC anymore.

‪#‎InTheZone‬ 162 is out www.yellowfever.co.nz/podcasts.

The pod looks back at last week's action as Wellington Phoenix FCweathers Melbourne City FC's pressure to grab a vital point to secure a top four position. Mariners fan, Josh Howe, helps previews Friday night's fixture. New Zealand Football sack their U17 coaches six months out from a World Cup, while Exodus Team Wellington and Auckland City Football Clubclaim Champions League wins.

almost boarder line conspiracy theories, but good rant about the U17 appointments. For me, the appointments smacked of all the negative qualities we see time and time again from the top of NZF - no/little strategic thinking, lack of communication and no sign of integrity.

now I don't know who is most qualified/suited to coach the U17 out of the lot of them, but say it is Danny Haybales and Zoro, then rather than having two guys come in who have experience and expertise, it looks like "they are out mates, so they get the job...your results do not count for much as you where just keeping their seat warm" kinda bullshark

then there is the idea, that there aren't enough coaching gigs in NZ for aspiring coaches, well if the national body treats successful coaches like that, who would want to coach in NZ?

end mid afternoon rant.

I figured it out, it decided to stop refreshing because I hadn't listened to any of the podcasts.  But little did itunes know, I was copying the files to my phone and listening on that.

What's your phone? There should be podcast software for it if its not an iPhone.

iTunes does that, go into the feed and refresh that, that will reset the counter.

Otherwise subscribe if you do download the file and copy elsewhere.

P.S. - Dale, pod me please :)

I don't know what's more disturbing, the shocking retirement news or Smithy's obvious randiness with quotes such as "Seeing Patricks 'piece' on the website", "the OFC reaching it's 'Climax'", "Napier City Rovers 'absolutely pounded' Tawa" and "come to the bencher and we'll 'shove a pole' in your hands"

Rather than retire why don't you recruit?  Patrick is a nerd, he can do the editing, get a rotating guest on each week and News can sit there complaining about shark cod (Jacob) Burns while Smithy makes dick jokes.  No one will notice the difference.

In others want to start up an alternative podcast, we'd be more than happy to support/promote that. We've done our dash for the time being. But you never know, we might get the crew back at some stage.
