He debuts with a hiss and a roar, then fails pretty epically and now looks lazy and disinterested.

Thoughts?

He'd have to work pretty hard at not working very hard to make that comparison!  Actually thought he was better last night, fairly decent effort off the bench.  At least he looked like scoring with the header.

I think he is a goal away from being an Instant Hero...

Hes pretty damn lazy and gets shrugged off the ball far too easily though doesnt he? Good in the air when we were pumping long balls though.

Allegedly

didn't want to run much last night.

However, Ifill rarely would run back in the last 25 whenever he lost possession.

Dadi won't be as bad as Elrich, but he should suffer thew same fate at the end of this season

I want players puking with exhaustion in all the upcoming games so as to win a final!

Not too much to ask is it?

Dadi could be a handy squad player next year. If there isn't a reasonable replacement available- he'd be better than Brownlie, George, Draper, not having any strikers...If he can accept that.

just have to wait and see on the rest of his impact

I agree.  Was very ordinary after his first two games.  A spell on the bench and he put in a sound effort (if not spectacular or workmanlike).

I wonder how he would last over a whole season.  Maybe he needs to be used as an impact player or plays in a couple and then rested for a game.

Ifill puts in a big effort every game, and it gets harder to run when people keep clipping your ankles for 90 minutes.

Dadi did look rather lethargic, but better effort last night than in the previous few games.

I think Dadi will still be starting off the bench against CCM, and in the finals.

Dadi was a great short term aquisition to give us another attacking option for the business end of the season.

I don't however see him as the second striker / targetman we need for next season - 37 is just too old and he has proven he's not interested in sitting on the bench.

We can do better for 10/11.

He dribbles a lot and the opposition dont like it - you can see it all over their faces. (Ron Atkinson)

No, Dadi has already scored 2 more goals than Pieman.

Took the words right out of my mouth. Lets look for another striker overseas in the off season.
I do hope Dadi finishes strong though and helps tilt the Phoenix to it's maiden premiership.

Not even close. Don't know if I would re-sign Dadi unless we are completely desperate but he just isn't in the same ballpark as Elrich.

1 more goal than the Pie Man, LG.

If hes in space hes fine, if theres a man on him he'll just fall over at the slightest nudge. He needs enough time to take the ball, turn and peel off a shot.

We were warned.  As someone at www.gloryboys.com said: "Icon to cabbage reserve in 3 weeks".

I want 'icon' Dadi back.

My apologies, LG. I stand corrected. Forgot about the 3rd one!

Was good in the first game, but to be honest I don't rate him enough and hope we don't sign him for next year. he adds depth to a squad lacking in the striker department and his a different sort of striker than what we've had but except for holding up the ball he doesn't do anything

give the guy a break lads, sure he started brilliantly and hasn't continued that form two games later - this last game I think ha can be forgiven for being a bit ginger given the ankle complaint he had....he'll be back for the finals and score a couple of crucial goals for us....

Age should not be a barrier to good performances and if it is, then maybe he should retire.

Yes, every player should be at their peak from their first game until their last.

Dadi has always been better than Elrich (in my 3 years of watching him).  Elrich was lazy, useless, and couldn't cross the ball to save his life.

Though I think we seriously need to get a new striker (or even two) over the off-season.  It would be awesome if they scouted Eastern Europe instead of Britain (though if there's a good Brit available then sign him up).

Europes the key. They need to forget about the cliche' that is South America.

That's a great phrase, I always thought it was a phrase for someone who was a bit unwell too. But it actually means he's a bit gay. Are you calling Dadi a poof?

Exhibit A

Exhibit B

Honestly though it doesn't matter, we actually have alternatives to Dadi, whereas we persisted with Elrich for what seemed like forever.

Get Sergio or evev Daal who i like the look of as a target man... albeit not a prolific striker.

not enough games to judge

at least 2 more to give us more insight into his consistency/effort (whether from the start or off the bench)

To be honest (takes deep breath and waits for the flak), on the evidence of this season I'd say Leo Bertos was closer to being the new Elrich.

There. I've said it.

I don't agree with that at all.

When has Leo Bertos scored an awesome goal?

I got a bit frustrated with Dadi the last 2 games, in that he seems to take a while to get into it once he is on the park, and he doesnt harry and hassle, ie defend from the front, as I would expect someone coming on with a very limited time to do.

He has given us an idea of what we want for next year though, but I cant see it being him. We'll be shopping for a younger fresher version I think

Agreed, only Chen has been more sh*t than Bertos.  He's been terrible.

And to whoever suggested Serginho van Dijk and Dyron Daal, I completely agree with getting van Dijk, but I don't want Daal.

(Leo did have that pretty sweet free kick towards the Fever Zone, although one could argue it took a deflection).
