At least we have a sure fire new hit chant if we ever manage to get a goal up:

"You're so sh*t you're losing to the nix!" (clap clap clap clap clapclap clapclap clap clap)

Ive got a great moneysaving idea - play Terry Serepisos instead of Elliott.

Didnt watch the game cos dont have sky but was listening on radio with nix shirt on... we only played 1 striker up front again eh? What the hell has happened to our midfield. From the last few games ive been to, they just arent passing well. Isnt that the most basic skill in football!?!?!?!

Its getting to the point where more people will be participating in the after match rant than will turn up to see them at home.

Musa to LB, Manny to Elliott's position, Rojas for Ward, only one of Brown + Lia
Start Pav and Greenacre
Fixed

Ricki:
a) more focus on passing.keep the ball on the deck.
b) dont put greenie up against topor-stanley. He won't win the long ball
c) if you want to play the long route 1 ball, you need a tall guy u there with Greenie. Subbing the tall guy for the scavenger.. not smart.
d) You're allowed three subs.
e) At this stage, there's no difference between a 1-nil loss, and a 6-0 loss. It's still 0 points. There's nothing wrong with goign to a heavily attacking formation until it's a draw again.

Please fix.

What a joke. Didn't look like scoring. Our players can't dribble, can't pass.

Ward had a moderate game, his passing wasnt as great as it could have been.
But he was at least looking for the ball and got it plenty of times and was looking to go forward.
The rest of the midfield just wasnt in it.

If you were watching on the radio you saw as many completed passes >10m as we did

Musa to LB = WIN
Manny into Elliott = WIN
Rojas for Ward = No. I'd do Rojas fro Brown / Lia. Mostly Lia.
Only one of Brown / Lia .. I'd go Brown.
Start Pav and Greenie = WIN * 1000

That's harsh. The rest of the team for me at least seemed interested in trying to play football.

Nicky Ward was at least looking to create opportunities. Often passing to players up front who were static, standing still, ball watching, or all three at once.

Dura and Siggy were good at the back (one outstanding shot apart), Manny his usual self, and Bertos and Hearfield could have combined more down the right.

Ifill looks out of touch, he's heavy on the first touch more times than not, and in tight spaces gives the ball away.
And while he's getting to chase back now, still on a number of occasions standing still watching the ball being passed around him, hoping for a rebound or some other miracle.

Greenacre was never going to win aerial battle against Toppor-Stanley. Was ludicrous they even tried, I mean 6'million vs 5'nothing.

I made a comment that the team could use Gordon Tietjens to run some fitness sessions with the team. They could surely use it.

The only other thing they could try, apart from dumping most of the midfield, is putting Manny further forward, as he at least seems to be making some good runs forward and seems confident with the ball at the moment.

It didnt exactly look like it was sh*t or bust, and we needed that goal, did it?
It just fizzled out in the same way as the rest of the match.

Stick em all up against Team Wellington and see if we can beat them.

Yeah a bit early for that. We're only 2 points off where we were last season at this point.

Lacking a few more of the draws we had last season though.

We have the team, we have the ability. We just dont have the desire at the moment i think.

Desperation is not desire.

5 points requires us to win, or at least score.

Our best shot on goal was Siggy's deflection to Paston.

We looked most attacking whenn passing the ball back to Paston.

I hoped for more tonight.

So sick of people saying this. "We were in a similar position last year". Last year, a lot of the draws we dominated and played well. This year we are playing very poorly. We might be on similar points but our standard has dropped.

f**k we're sh*t.

Our play in the middle of the park this season has been absolutely appalling.

Brown, Lia, Elliot and Daniel are all as slow (running and thinking) as a wet week. Leo and Ifill have both lost their mojo.

The really depressing thing for me is I think the better teams in the league have gone up a gear in terms of speed and skill and we haven't - and we have re-signed most of our midfield who will be another year older and a bit slower still next year.

It will be a long rest of the season - even with Griffiths - who is going to create the chances for him ?

I hope we recruit some younger, faster talent for next season - I don't think too many will put up with this crap again.

He dribbles a lot and the opposition dont like it - you can see it all over their faces. (Ron Atkinson)

Yeh, got desperate at the CAM position
Daniel - no pace
Brown - no creativity
Lia - DM only
Ward, turnover king
other = Rojas (Toto if not injured)

Ricki is playing a team of midfielders that look as old and creative as he is

Definitely drawing the long excuse bow to compare standings against last season.

I will say now, the biggest impact this will have, will be renewing memberships next year. If the standard doesn't pick up, the membership will shrink as less of the casual crowd (members outside YF) renew.

Far too flat across the board. Not enough movement off the ball from anyone, bar Muscat. What the f**k are they doing at training?

Yeah but the thing is, for every one of those long string of draws that we dominated only to concede late, there were others that we were far from dominating and were lucky to come away with a draw. We had our fair share of crap games last year, just like we have this year.

We could have lost more than half of those draws but still got more points from actually winning the rest. Even if we only win every third game we will still have a shot at making the top 6.
