Long ago dated video of Kaz w/ his stint in Germany (kumara quality) but shows his kinda play back then.

Technical for sure. Chief wants him at the 6 but clearly he knows his way around the box.

Props to him for taking on the presser (alone) in full English when it's his second language! Seems a very friendly guy that's happy to be here.

We need some consistency in the middle and I’m happy enough with this. Especially with rufer most likely off. He was a consistently good performer last season, if he can keep it up and act as a mentor for some of the academy kids, then happy days.

I thought he had a decent year, but the signing is underwhelming for me.

Would he make other teams as an import? Not sure, so why is he making ours. Consistency is good, but quality is better. I'm not sure a 36/37 year old pro who has been decent, but not set the world on fire is deserving of a spot.

he's exactly the kind of player we need as an import, experienced pro, consistently decent on the park, a quiet leader.

Queenslander 3x a year.

If he and Ramy are being retained to be our 10s then write the season off now. I'm hoping he'll be a 6.

Way too early to assume. Sander Kartum, Carlo Armiento and Nikola Mileusnic will leave I think. That should allow a new foreign attacking midfielder and someone from Australia for starters. I imagine Kazuki will be forward stepping central midfield. Substitutes Luke Brooke Smith, GSR and if he stays, Ramy.

I like him more as a 10 tbh. But he will need to be paired with a more attacking 10 on the other side and a quality one. So if we don't get Singh we'd need to use an import slot there too.

35 in December. & I will assume 4 new foreign players will be 25 to 30.

They absolutely will. With Nikola Mileusnic and Sander Kartum to leave I'm going to guarantee that.

Glad to see him re-signed.

As others have mentioned, he massively improved last season compared to the first. He was clearly more used to the physicality of the league and his performances were quite consistent.

Also mustn't forget he was our captain when Rufs wasn't on the pitch as well, so he has some importance in the squad leadership group - If Rufs goes we will want that consistency in the leadership group

That’s odd. I liked him much better at 10. He reminds me of David Ball. An intelligent team player who plays with his head up. He links play well. I hope he’s signed as a back up 6 or 8 only, with the main intent to play him as a 10. If we sign a good CF we need someone who is watching for any runs they make and can get them the ball in the areas and the ways they appreciate it.

In Greenie I trust. If Greenie wants him then that’s that for me.

It’s not a statement signing, but it might be a tidy one. Much like the player himself.

yeah, pretty sure his improvement tlast season came about as he got further up the field and more involved in the atacking play.

Kazuki Nagasawa is a 2020s Tim Brown. A loyal experienced midfielder that joins in attack.

Gotta be played in the wide #10 role, he is bang average as a #6.
