Have to agree.  One article I read saying we are closer to the bottom than the top 6.  You'd have to say playoffs is impossible now, and we don't deserve to be there anyway.

Well done Feverbot. It's not often that a table lines up with the Goal Diffs in correct numerical order.

Still rocking 8th place.  Never thought I'd be so pleased to say that.

I thought this was quite interesting/telling....

With our strongest back four starting (Tratt, Dura, Rossi, Doyle) we've conceded 9 goals in 8 games (1.1 goals a game)

When our strongest back four aren't starting we've coneded 25 goals in 12 games (2.1 goals a game)

So in terms of table position, the Phoenix have the most difficult run-in to the play-offs. Jets and WSW have a favourable run in so we've got to hope they drop form.

WSW do have an ACL campaign to content with. think I read they've never won a game the weekend after an ACL game.

Speaking of WSW, is it possible that they may get a point deduction after the whole Graham Arnold sucking on a schlong tifu? They've been warned/ fined plenty of times before... Would help us out a bit too!

Nope. $20,000 fine.

Nope. $20,000 fine.

That seems like a tap on the wrist especially since they had the point deduction/fine hanging over their head from excessive flares that was suspended... Darn! Now we've got to perform like a Top Six side to finish in the Top Six.

The threat of a points deduction is a joke. Just take the damn points off them. It looked nothing like Arnold anyway.

Top 5 reasonably secure, but a real scrap for the 6th. 4 teams in it still you'd think. We've got a tough run in, though.

Victory and Sydney might not have much to play for by the time we face them. Hopefully they rest some key players against us.

This was posted on A-League facebook page. Shows the coaching bounce we got and makes Sydney even more impressive that they have been in first place since round 1

We should just keep firing coaches & we would be first! (I'll ignore the fact it was a run against the bottom teams, so not really related to the coach change)

That table also has a feature that shows recent form over the past 6 games. Perth are top of the table, equal on points with Sydney. Hopefully we can knock them off of their stride on Saturday

They have, and we've barely capitalised on them.

Now WE need to do our bit and play 90 minutes and result in a win.
