That’s generally the way it works. You avoid the spoon if another team has a poorer season than you.

Guh, neither City nor Victory could afford to let us win in the rounds we play them, with home finals still up for grabs..

That sucks. We have to EARN 9th place on our own accord.

Unless we beat City 10-0, it will be a case of

"Hello wooden spoon my old friend,

I've  come to talk with you again...."

Unless of course CCM manage more than a draw in their last game

And this is just the same like last year. In fact both CCM and the Nix are so last year that it's not even funny.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

Sorry, I meant that game. So boring, no intensity. this whole top 6 thing makes the end of the season a joke

Even with a top 4 there wouldn’t be any different circumstances on that game, Sydney were a billion points clear, and Victory had already secured 4th. There was actually still third to play for (with champions league implications) but that requires us to do them a favour. There are still three teams battling to make the 6, so there’s some interest there, and of course he battle to avoid the spoon has gone down to the final day.

Doesn’t top 6 mean there is more to play for at end of season? Otherwise the only thing to play for would be us avoiding the spoon. Sydney would’ve already wrapped up the league, so the rest would be meaningless if there were no playoff implications.

So without wanting to curse us into the spoon, with this result, if things say the same, we have finished in front of CCM each of the last four seasons - are we really the ones squatting on a license?

Despite their hiding at the hands of the Jets, CCM finished with better goal difference than us.

Could someone more competent than me look through the season and show if our goal difference "improved" after Kalezic left?

I am not referring to absolute difference, but if if stopped dipping at an alarming rate after DK left and perhaps plateaued (if that's a word).

CCM's problems all season was their inability to score. CCM 28 goals, Bobo 27 goals

Is it just me, or do there seem to be less draws this season than the last few? Not one team hit double-digits in the 'Draw' category...
