To get in the six, it's the other teams in the bottom half of the table that we need to go past.

Of the 9 games we have remaining, the first 4 are against teams in the bottom half of the table, while the last 3 are against teams in the top half of the table ( i.e. B-B-B-B-T-B-T-T-T ). So it really is now or never - if we win the next six, we would have a chance of making the playoffs even if we lost the last 3, but if we lost the next 3 there'd be absolutely no hope of making the playoffs even if we then won the last six.

before last night we had a mathematical chance - if every game goes our way for the next 7 we might make it - im prepared to give it a .5% chance of happening though.

Sounds like the premise for that Baseball movie "Major League". Just to prove the owner wrong Tom Berenger stood up at the meeting. 

So yes, if we win every game starting this Saturday, we might have to rely on others tripping up but at least winning every game might get the crowds back and the fans happyish.

It is plausible that we may still win a game this season. The conditions for that to happen are now in the "unlikely" category, based on the last two games. Another team would have to have a major meltdown for that, if Roy is truly a non-starter from now on.  

In some ways we actually do need this ongoing trainwreck of a season for any significant change to take place. It would be a bigger change than what we have seen so far though. What I saw last night was not a "fighting loss", it was a demoralising capitulation, reminiscent of the early season loss 2:3 against Victory, or the awful 3:3 draw against Adelaide, just without the goals scored by us.

Nix won't make it given that they lost the last 2 games 4-0. Kalzeic will be gone by the FFA cup game. in augest. Did you know that the round 27 game vs Brisbane last season has been exzatlay this season.
