Sydney face a weakened Victory side next weekend, so should win*. Fair to say its a 4 horse race for the title this season?

* A-League being A-League, Victory will probably put 6 past them

Adelaide this week will be massive! Given our history there however, plus our slow start to the season I don't think the league table will look any better this time next week... But then, they may surprise us with 3 points! COYN

Vuc have by far been the most disappointing team this season; in terms of Expectations v Reality.

Interesting we have the same GD as CCM who are in 6th. It's so tight, if we manage to squeeze a win against Adelaide (a big ask, but why not?) then we'll be right back in it.

Maybe the FFA was right about fans not being able to deal with games in hand after all.

It's interesting how Victory shows the same wobbles as we do  - symptoms of losing both key strikers (Kosta and Berisha), and changing the coach.  Arguably, they retained core of their defence and midfield (plus their goalie) so should be doing better than they are right now.  Would be interesting to see how they recover and if it matches our expected recovery.

You could argue that Perth have been the biggest disappointment so far. Even allowing for injuries MV's squad is the weakest it's been in years, whereas Perth is chock full of proven talent, yet it has only managed 6 points. And for all their attacking power they only have the same number of goals as us.

I'm sure they'll come right at some point but it's taking a long time.

Glory's issues are at the back, they lost 2 Socceroos (Spiranovic/Davidson) and a fringe Socceroo (S Lowry). The new backline is taking its time to gel. Last season they only conceded 23 goals and they have already conceded 9 so far this season.

It kind of puts in perspective that we were unable to beat them - they may have problems with getting their defence gelling, but they still have a formidable attack which DeVere and Taylor had all sorts of problems with when we met a few weeks ago.
