theres highs and lows which I think we can all deal with, its when the team on the field clearly have no interest in plaging the game they're paid to. I know they'll come out and say we tried, but it sure diodn't look that way! Besides the obvious two or three guys on the field who actually made an effort, I doubt any of the otehrs could honestly face up and say "I gave it 100%".

Just like the Nix playing like sh*t week in week out is getting lame and boring.

I think people have a right to be upset atm.

It's not season 1 anymore

emocryfest - would that be more along the lines of I hate myself for supporting a team that loses every week??
Personally I can't say i hate myself, and I don't believe anyone else on here has either - all of YF deserve medals for our as yet unrepaid support!

My gripe is simply that the team, ie coach, manager, owner and players all fronted up at the start of the season and stated that they were going to repay our support from season one and this season - as yet i think they haven't really fronted up to that promise.

I couldn't find liverpoolfan1's Round 10 post from last year, but looking at Round 9...

Round 9 this year:
P     W     D     L     F     A     GD     Points
9     2     3     4     8     13     -5     9

Round 9 last year:

P     W     D     L     F     A     GD     Points
9     2     2     5     13     16     -3     8

Interesting to compare them. The dizzying heights of one point higher then our establishment year. After Round 11 last year we were on 11 points...

They lost 4-1 to Adelaide in round ten last year, leaving them seventh...

And after ten rounds this year, they are eighth...

The most obvious difference is the goals scored column.  Last year they were second top goalscorers after ten rounds; this year, the lowest goalscorers after ten rounds.

We play badly, lose and so you decide you're not going to support us anymore? You're doing nothing to improve the glory hunting image of fans of the big four. You're either a fan or not. By your own admission, you seem to be in the not category.

I take it you bought the new reversible Arsenal top last year? The one that had Arsenal on one side and Manchester United on the other... boom boom!

not a fan??? lets be clear I have a season pass and will always go to the games. I'm passionate about the phoenix but I have expectations as well - whilst I'll support the team I do expect the players to show up and give it 100% like I and others have all season - I don't see what's wrong with expecting the team to at least try to play well.......this last game showed me that some of them did not really want to be there.

didn't say I'm no longer a fan, just said, rather strongly, I'm not happy with all the bullsh*te promises with no payback! stepping back my son, not leaving......after tonight, with this much improved effort and performance I'd be happy for the guys to come home and repeat it!

Given Perth have been a bit of a bogey this year I'm very pleased to have the Jets at home next week, they are undoubtedley one of the worst teams in  the league alongside us and Glory. Bring on back to back wins!!!

What are the "Sack Ricki/Play Costa/Gao's a lazy c**t/Smeltz=Judas" folks going to do for the next 16 days, especially if we spend the whole time in 6th?

Kinda crap that we have the international break right after a game like that. I suppose it's nice for them to not have much criticism for a couple of weeks though.

They are going to be a tired lot today after running their arses off like that. Maybe they should travel to Perth and back 4 days before every game.

Our next game is Newcastle at home on the 23rd...we must get a result from that game

Still on the playoff periphery.

Hopefully Newcastle and Perth draw, but I can see Perth winning

If we beat Newcastle, it would do the club wonders in confidence and fans too. I think we need to start now to encourage people to come to the game, We want more than 7,000 at it!
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

Perth and Newcastle drew, so a win against Newcastle could potentially open up a 4 point gap between the Nix and the bottom two, while keeping us no more than 4 points adrift of 4th.

It's an close league...any momentum in the right direction is good...any result is good too, but we're gonna have to be re-energised after the break and pick up hopefully a win.
