Yeah agreed. What worries me,is we've sacrificed a couple of our home games to play in palmy and chch (despite what people say it is still effectively like playing away from home). Considering we are undefeated at the ROF,i hope it doesnt return to bite us in the ass.

Yeah, I have to agree. Unbeaten at home, winless away... it's looking like a really bad decision to give up two home games. And I'm still pissed off about losing access to those games.

No.

They have sacrificed the gme because the stadium is booked for the AC/DC concert.
So does that mean that type of event takes precedence over a phoenix game.As in if a big act decides to come do we get the boot.

I think the stadium would get to choose, and the venue was probably booked before the season started.

3 scenarios:

A) the fixture list was done first,we had a home game on january 30th. ACDC then comes in,stadium gives us the boot. Poor form.

OR

B) ACDC had already booked the stadium for january 30th. The nix say they dont mind to the FFA,if you give us a home game on that date we'll take the opportuniuty to take the nix to palmy/chch. Poor form.

OR

C) ACDC have already booked the stadium. The nix ask the FFA if they can NOT schedule us on this weekend at home. FFA say tough sh*t,schedule us a home game then anyway, nix are forced to take game to chch/palmy. I find this one unlikely, but if true, then poor form

Not good any way i see it happening.

Would the All Blacks get their game bumped or the Hurricanes or even the Lions, if they were in the Phoenix position.

Im just curious to know. Will serve a lot of people to know,as would stay annoyed at the decision otherwise. Especially if it costs us in the end.

if it ends up costing us, i trust that the club will have the integrity not to let us down in future with similar decisions

but if we win both games - then clearly TP etc are marketing and motivational geniuses

I was going to say something about that, but wanted to see how far these guys will go. 33 posts and it included two backroom staff . I have to say it was a very interesting side issue. AllWhitebelievr2009-11-08 22:59:34

Wow the league is rediculously close. Cant sere it changing next round either. At least we are still sitting in the top 6 at the half way point and we can only really look up from here.
We can outplay the majority of these teams and i think our only real weakness is attacks  that utilise the flanks alot and stretch our defense out which is how we often concede. We can do it though. Hoping for us to break away in a top 4/5 so that the other teams will have to fight over one spot

60 odd thousand people at acdc over 2 shows....10 at most for nix...why ever would wellington city want acdc...the stadium is a multi purpose venue...u think the nix have much say in what happens...no doubt acdc promoters booked 2 nights when initially booking the stadium...if the nix dont make the playoffs it wont have so much to do with acdc as the run of draws that should have been wins

We gotta take this one out. A loss is unthinkable now. We should be building up for the Melbourne game at home where we really want to win. Next week is going to be a lot harder than the table shows I feel

If we dont get 6 points from our next two games, we're in serious risk of going back to the bottom of the table.

I'd take 4 points but I think we really do need 6 in the next two. At least we won't be last by the end of this round.

I'll happily take 4 out of a possible 6 points from these next two games. Sad thing is, for our 13-game unbeaten streak at home, we have a winless streak in Australia that is starting to mount too...

A loss in either of our next two games is unthinkable and would really dampen our spirits. A draw isn't the end of the world, keeping us there or thereabouts, whilst also denying teams points.

Craving 3 points tomorrow against Newcastle.
