3 points on wednesday still puts us in 6th, another 3 on sunday and that's top four.

I know we lost, but why the huge negativity? - a win on Wednesday and we go to 6th

After a performance like last week, hopes were raised. After 35 minutes it hurt to be brought crashing back down to earth again!

Given that back home this happens nearly EVERY time my team has a good result, you'd think I'd learn my lesson!

haha.  I get the negativity around the game, just don't get 'last again' negativity.

We should wait till we've played this game in hand and see where we are then.

Thank you goal difference!

TBH I can't see GCU moving much further for the rest of the season so in reality we are seeing a break at the top and a bunch in the middle that I think will stay like that for the rest of the season.

yeah fair call, i think Melbourne and Sydney are doing everything right at the moment so posiibly they will push up the table with a close fight for the next four spots

I'd be very disappointed if we didn't win our next two games. I think we can and will. And that would leave us around 4th/5th. Can't see Sydney or Melbourne being caught. And unless Gold Coast sort some sh*t out they could fall further down.

It was about this time last year where we won three on the trot. I hope for a repeat.

Yup was when they had the mos.

Are the Phoenix doing movember again?  Nothing like a good mo.  Muscat and Ferrante were the best, from memory Hearfields was worse than mine.

If we win the next two we pass Perth on the ladder which would be great.  Just got to hold it together and stay tight.

Yep, they're definately doing it again but it's optional

The mos were always a good laugh. Yup, Muscat and Ferrante were very good last year and I also think Paston had a decent one. Wonder if Rojas will be able to grow one ...

If we lose tonight, then maybe we start going all negative.

It's a fine edge we find ourselves on, and we'd only have ourselves to blame, for not converting draws into wins.

However, win tonight, and we slot into 6th, and will be at worst 5th with another win on Sunday. It will then give us a chance to re-assess ourselves at the midway point and continue on the up and up.

Back into 6th place, and we should go into the Perth game definitely looking to scoop another 3 points. Perth are a decent side, but have gone into a bit of form slump of late, and it's important we capitalize.

Sydney & Melbourne are settling into a "big 2" & then it's open slather. We must fancy ourselves amongst that lot.
Once again, the A-League is a very open league.

Don't book your wedding/party/dirty getaway on play-off weekends just yet folks.

I know, I know, its serious!

1 point off top 4. I've been saying for a while that's where we should be this season.

And to think a couple weeks ago people were bagging us and saying Smeltz had more goals than our whole team.  Now we're equal to GC on goals scored and have conceded a lot less.  What a difference two weeks can make.
