When we lost thatr first one 3-2, in season one we'd have given up the ghost, but now we dont give up and we pegged that game back to 2-2. Good to see this change in attitude and IMHO, this has set the basis of our season - Never give up!

I thought we drew our first game, from 2-0 down.

I remember being there, maybe I forget the result.

Sorry, my bad grammer, I was comparing this seasons  first game and games we played in season one. Yes, we did draw 2-2 and nearly stole it but for the woodwork.

So glad I was in Wellington for our first real game. Was great. At 2-0 down I remember feeling pretty dejected (especially after the missed penalty) and by the end i was ridiculously happy

Still possibly my favorite result at the RoF. That 2-2 draw against Melbourne season 1.

Surpassed only by the 5-0 victory against Gold Coast in season 3.

All Aboard the Phoenix/ All Whites Bandwagon!!

I recall being interviewed by Raf d G at the end of that game, but no voice came out and I was a pathetic wreck of a specimen. Thank christ it was never screened, but what a breath of fresh air for sports watching, the Phoenix was. And long may that continue to be the case.

Let's get those numbers up for Friday week.

I know, I know, its serious!

Big numbers at the Kings on Sunday following the 'Big Cup' game at Newtown then take those three points and roll through the week talking it up.

Who would have thought Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane all near the bottom (although I pick Brisbane to roll the Mariners in a few minutes from now)

Actually a win by 1 would send us 2nd.We would have +1 GD. Sydney would have +1.  But we have scored more.

7th equal, not great but not last. At least were are in good company with Melbourne and Adelaide.

Its not gonna be easy this season. Its gonna be really close.
But with a top 6, and NQF almost guaranteed not to make it, that means there is 6 spots in, and 3 out! Pretty good odds in such a tight league.

Did you watch the Fury on Friday night ?

Significantly better than both Adelaide and us this weekend.

That was an amazing game. Too bad no one would have really seen it due to it being in the wee hours of the morning...

Fury did look rather good in parts. Though defensively dodgy as hell. But yeah i wouldnt count them out, they seem to have a close team spirit thing going, determined to prove everyone wrong i guess.

Allegedly

Perhaps Oska is factoring in where we will be after Perth play Central Coast, where we can only stay in fourth if we have won by 3 goals. (And if the aforementioned game is a draw.)
