Wow, its down to a toss of a coin to seperate us and Melbourne on the table, as we have conceeded the same yellow/red cards aswell:

a) highest goal difference;

b) highest number of goals scored;

c) highest number of points accumulated in matches between the teams concerned;

d) highest goal difference in matches between the teams concerned;

e) lowest number of red cards accumulated;

f) lowest number of yellow cards accumulated;

g) toss of a coin.

Now its down to a win and 2 goals without conceding..or maybe 3 when we concede our usual.

must win game this!!!! a draw sees us on 7, a win by is an absolute must to keep in touch, then we have to back it up next week with at least a draw.

And considering how sh!te our home is, that's a disadvantage imo!

Away games ftw!

Weird schedule for the Phoenix coming up. we have fury home, CCM home, GC away,fury home and then GC home.....dumb scheduling IMO

what is absolutely vital is we have to start winning!!!!!!!

Absolutely must get at least 2 wins and a draw at home against Fury/CCm and hopefully nick a point against GC.

It is quite likely there will be a split in the Table and a group will forge ahead.....we must be in that group. The phoenix's season could well be decided in the next month or so.

We can do it..the selection looks good now and we have played very well in patches in the last few games. We are due for a full 90 minute effort.

Go the Phoenix!!!!

Would be good if we can get 2 wins and a draw against NQF and CCM!

Useless.  So frustrating.  I can't think of another reasonable-sized country in the developed world that would be worse to support local football in than NZ.

1 win from 7 is pretty pathetic.

The positive spin is just one loss in the last six games....but the inability to convert one point into three will really hurt come playoff time if they continue to draw matches.

More than any of the other draws, today was two points dropped without a shadow of doubt.

8 goals in 7 games is also a worry.

After 7 games;

Team Pl W D L F A GD Pts Phoenix 08/09 7 1 3 3 7 12 -5 6 Phoenix 09/10 7 1 4 2 8 10 -2 7

Position on table both seasons - near the arse end.

Very disappointing start to season.

P.S. and we have the top 2 teams yet to play.

Only lost the same amount of games as the top team. If we had turned those draws into wins then... we would be the top team. But that happens. We arn't out of it. Bad luck today. But imagine how Perth felt when we did that to them.

Our GA would atleast look different. 3 goals off. Also if you include the amount of easy chances that have gone begging you could add 5+ to GF.
