The Ruf, The Ruf, The Ruf is on Fire!!
Turf being re-layed, the club couldn't get around it.
So true. But then the Stadium Trust or whoever allow an ACDC concert to take place on the brand new turf. Very good forward thinking from some f**kwit. 30,000 fans stomping around on their new turf will really benefit it.
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

Nor me really. I know it's not the clubs fault. But the Stadium Trust, arses and heads buried, all seem relevent imho.

I wonder if the mods or administrator can do a search for the number of times the following are posted:
1. "We really need to win this game"
2. "This is such a tight league"
or variations on the themes.
But really, 9 rounds to go and it is such tight league...

We need to get our best 11 match fit and off suspensions.
And play better.
Because it might look like a tight league right now, but the opportunities to move up the table are disappearing.

We could be stone cold last after this week
, or on a positive note, possibly 6th. We simply have to string together 3 or 4 wins on the trot now. It is time to show whether we are contenders or, yet again pretenders

If only it was that simple to string together 3-4 wins on the trot.
Like I say every week, I think we'll beat Adelaide this week. Predicting a massive performance.

Not simple but it really must happen.
The run in to the end of the season game wise looks sort of ok, with most games against teams from the lower half of the table, and it is not until Feb 9 that we meet Gold Coast, so we do have every oppotunity.

I see the two games in January at home consecutivley against Brisbane and North Queensland as what will be season defining. Those are two we must get 3 points against. A fair way off but that is where the real crunch time of the season begins and I see those two as the time to get on a roll before the playoffs. On the 9th and 15th if January I think.

Pund for pund, more wisecracks here than you could shake a schtick at. Pun-ching well above your weight, imo.
I'd take a punt, Piney might not like how we've redecorated on this thread.

another three points to the Roar. This game at Hindmarsh is looking like it will be season defining for sure

It only has space for 18,000, so it was one-third full. Our games at ROF have been relatively quieter.
If you reduce the available seating zones, either by restricting the top rows or have the crowd only the opposite side to the camera, it would look on TV.
At FMG stadium, the space of 18,000 is one thing but there was only the grandstand ( where the camera is) and the opposite half of the stadium to the camera was where the crowds were mainly were. There was not much crowd straight behind the goals expect on the corner opposite (of camera) where the YF was. The row of seats in the camera view, was only about 8-10 rows up at the best. So about 1/3 of the seats are were not used by natural default.
But in the camera view it looks packed. The same sort of thing you would get in the English Championship and it looks good because of the lack of rows in their stadium.

Three points will certainly give us confidence, TOP 6 baby!!!
