I would start a 4-4-2

Moss
Christie, Dodd, O'dor or Clebo, Lochead
Felipe, Aloisi, Brown, daniel
smetlz, brownlie

I think in the first couple of games we have lacked widthin the midfield, noticebale in the victory game when lochead would get the ball and have no one in front of him as daniel had roamed off to the other side of the field.

of course, they brazilians can swap over if they like, but defensively we would benefit from having specific right and left midfielders, who will drop back and defend when required.

I know you need speed and skill at the back, but you also need size and strength, and Cleberson is like Sol Campbell (now we need to get him as angry as Stig Tofting!) and fits that description well. I wish we had signed Jonas Salley though.

I agree centrebacks don't need to be as fast as RB and LB

yep, was that not obvious?

No, my point was that we didn't play 4-4-2 in the first two games...it's a fairly narrow 4-3-1-2 (although daniel, the 1, does tend to drift further left naturally as he is left footed).  At this level you can't get away with a straight 4-4-2 and our three (Aloisi, Ferrante and Christie) have probably struggled with their distribution a little.  That is why I suspect Brownie will come in there as soon as he is fit.

We're reliant on our full backs to get forward and create the width.  Lochhead has been good at it (esp in pre-season against Sydney).  So far the right has been more of a challenge, and Christie might get a chance to give us a bit more going forward.
