Again leaving subs out except Coveny cause Christie didn't play enough

Hearfield for me. I thought Moss had a shocker although he can be forgiven because of the weather.

Though Johnson and Ferrante were solid. Daniel, Smeltz and Hearfield are the only players that stood out at all though.

I pick Ferrante for working his bollocks off and showing some great touches in an atrocious middle third of the pitch.

What did Hearfield do to deserve man of the match? I thought he was average. Noone really stood out for me. I would have to give it to Smeltz for scoring 2 goals.

Troy played really well I thought. He put some really good crosses into the right spaces.

Apart from Smeltz I thought everyone was poor.

Everyone played below average.

moss got a vote? he was melbournes man of the match, not so much ours.

thought troy was the best. smeltz did good, but kinda shot us in the foot with the old passing it straight to melbourne player and them going on to score.

BLASPHEMER!!
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

I vote for Dodd. Defended his seat in the rain very well.

hearfield, good workrate and some nice crosses.

Ferrante a close second, nice header over the bar in the 1st half to stop tards scoring.

Smeltz for me.  Did not think Hearfield was flash at all to be honest.

Yeah what is up with the subs bench? Surely the Nix must be able to get their hands on a portable shelter, so it doesn't look like Sunday league, all huddling together under a couple of shared umbrellas??

At the very least let them shelter under the inflatable Sony goals.

Hearfield by far for me. Excellant workrate, kept running all game and despite being the most knackered person on the pitch coming into the final ten minutes he was constantly trying to create a chance.

Smeltz an easy second, another well taken goal and dispatched his pen nicely given the pressure of missing in the shootout.

Ferrante defended better than McKain and Durante combined, and was hugely disadvantaged that he couldn't use his usual passing game in the rain.
You know we belong together...

Ferrante was very solid and saved us with that header over the bar in the first half

He saved a 2-4 loss?

Hearfield by the length of the straight.

Ditto for me, thought Covs had one of the best outings from the bench in a while. Hearfield and Smeltz clearly stood out, Jono ran out of puff in the second.

George would have made all the difference....el grapadura2008-08-25 18:38:22

Hearfield looked good going forward but left Muscat terribly exposed behind him.

Smeltz played well and i thought Cov's did a great job after coming on, but over the 90 minutes I thought Ferrante was our best player, he never gave up even when other seemed to lose interest.

Hearfield was brilliant.
Smeltz, Coveny, and Ferrante all played well.
Johnson did well.

I know many will disagree with me over this, but I think Kwasnik is class.  He had a good game as well, just perhaps not as good as the aforementioned players.

Smeltz for me after his double. Good to see him getting on the sheet without fantastic service.

Thought Hearfield did have a good game though, good to see him getting a run and think he could get a few this season after his nice finish against Sydney in PSC
