Great stuff. I'm guessing he won't get a game this season? Next season starts pretty early over there in August though so there isn't that long before he will get a chance.

Heard Marco's only shifting over there at the end of June as players are on holiday until then over there (Stuttgart's season doesn't finish until June 1st when they play in the German Cup final v. Bayern Munich)
May feature in pre-season games for Stuttgart in July - it's usual to give new signings a run in friendlies before the season starts and established stars are given a rest.
Stuttgart do have a very large squad of 32 first-team players according to Wiki (all of whom have their own Wikipedia pages - so even the teens there are established players, even if some have only appeared in cup games.) or 28 on the club's website.
Wynton probably knows the Stuttgart manager Bruno Labaddia as he was a high-profile striker during Wynton's time in the Bundesliga, playing for Bayern Munich - and for Wynton's Werder Bremen as Wynton's replacement after he left in 1994.
Full Marco interview from the club's official video portal (kindly provided to TV 3 News):
Last night's TV 3 News report (also has Alex Ferguson and Winston Reid after Rojas report):
English language version of the official Stuttgart website to follow future progress:
Stuttgart play Bayern in the German Cup Final June 1st (morning June 2 NZT): will be easy to find a live stream if you want to get a look at Marco's new team-mates and how they play.

Kick-boxing world champion Dr. Christine Theiss will carry the cup into the Olympiastadium, Berlin on match day, June 1st.

Just note they do not have any actual live or replayed games on those services. Just replays of highlights and in German interviews.

Apparently they do broadcast all of Stuttgart's complete games soon after they are played. It does say "at full length" ("Bundesliga VfB" means Stuttgart's Bundesliga games):
"All Bundesliga VfB after the final whistle at full length and in the Highlights section"
I assume it's similar to English Premier League teams where some such as Liverpool have online TV subscriptions which offer complete delayed games and others like Man Utd don't...

I'm close to Stuttgart for the first VFB home game 17.8. against Bayer Leverkusen. What about me and my son wearing  nix shirts and roll out a yellow fever banner at the game? Not sure if Marco is even on the bench, but I thought it would be a nice stunt. What do you think guys? Any ideas?

Looks like some friendly games are starting this week.

03.07.2013 18:30 First Team vs Krombacher-TSV Koengen(Charity game i think)

06.07.2013  15:30 Second Team vs VfR Aalen

06.07.2013  18:00 First Team vs SV Stuttgarter Kickers

They have a big squad but I am sure they would like to get an early look at Marco. In saying that I guess he will be lucky to make the bench for the second team game.

If we build it, they will come...

Actually in the VfB Stuttgart fan forum it sounds like Maro might get a run today. They mentioned the 4000 sell out crowd out for this lower league venue and everybody is excited to get a look at the 7 new comers to Stuttgart.Especially the seven newcomers Mohammed Abdellaoue, Konstantin Rausch (both Hannover 96), Moritz Leitner (Borussia Dortmund), MarcoRojas (Melbourne Victory), Daniel Schwaab (Bayer Leverkusen), Sercan Sararer (SpVgg Greuther Furth) and goalkeeper Thorsten Kirschbaum (Energie Cottbus) were exactly of the many fans who had come to know from training.

Seven new comers to vfb Stuttgart and they all got a run in a friendly against TSV Köngen except 1 Marco Rojas.

"4000 spectators watched the VfB coach introduce six of his seven newcomers. Only Marco Rojas was missing"

Six new members make the field in the TSV Koengen game
You will need to google translate the article.

This is one is an english article from the vfb Stuttgart official website.

Marco didn't make the field in a local derby against Stuttgarter Kickers overnight (nor did he appear for VfB II).  Anyone with links to 'Team Marco' know where he's at? Injured? Or, just not ready yet? [See edit note below]

I've spotted a few pictures of him training earlier this week and he  was wearing No 14, so that may be his squad number for the year (VfB website hasn't posted them yet). Here he goes (hopefully ...haven't posted images on this forum before).

Edit: Ha, started posting this before the previous post!  Solved!

I know, I know, its serious!

Stuttgart have already announced that they have loaned out two players to lower level German clubs.....one guy to Kaiserslautern???  which is a good Div 2 club. Possible that they will have a good look at Marco preseason and then decide if he is first team squad material or needs to be loaned out to develop his game.....prob the second IMO

Made his debut in a friendly against a regional selection in Crailsheim.  And scored!  Played in the first half only as VfB pretty much swapped teams at half time.  The big guns were mostly paying in the first half, so good signs.  4-0 at half time, 5-0 at full time. This is VfB's twitter posting "Halbzeit. Jetzt haben wir auch den Torschützen. Es ist unsere Nummer 14. Maaarcoo...Rojas. Erstes Spiel, erster Treffer. #VfB".

Get yer Google translate out folks.

Should be a good game. Was at Eintracht's 3-1 win over Düsseldorf and they are decent team.

Thanks Rocky123... great to see some footage. Marco did some real good stuff. Showed very good pace and put through a couple of lovely through balls. For his first hit out he done good. He certainly did not look out of place.

More importantly who was that blonde babe with the beer bottle?

He looked very good in that short clip. Set up what should've been one, and then the perfect through-ball that led to the peno. His goal was a bit scrappy but only because the defender tracked him all the way, yet he still got in there ahead of him.
