how clear a message can Stuttgart send to Marco and his daddy??? If Thun won't hold onto him and he is down in a silly league instead of the 2nd bundesliga JUST LEAVE ALREADY, COME HOME

Come home? To Hamilton? Have you ever been to Hamilton? Sure, the Gardens are nice and it has a river but.......y'know......bit of a sharkhole.

I thought it was the city of the future?

he will just get a reputation as a salary leech if he stays, not exactly attractive for the next european contract

He is a good player.Must be so frustrating not to kick on.

Maybe the old man aint such a good choice as manager?

Who knows but I'd welcome him back any day.

With Krishna and Watson on the books, no imports slots left and decent money already gone into Barba and  Finkler the Nix won't be spending large on an Aussie striker and may go for a not-a-striker again. Stuggart may be happy to do a deal that at least has part of his wages covered and the Nix could get a good player for cheaper than otherwise would be the case. Not beyond the realms of possibility...

Stuttgart lose 0-1 away to Fortuna Dusseldorf, in front of 37,000. Like The Championship there are some big clubs playing in the German 2nd tier.

Meanwhile Rojas's battles away for the 2nd team in obscurity in front of a few hundred people. Be interesting to know if the first team coaches rate him at all? Is he just too much of a hobbit for German football.

Hope his old man has his progress as a player, as no 1 priority, not just the filthy lucre.

I must say he did not looked very confident when playing for the All Whites, could be sharkty coaching.

Which teams still have foreign slots? Roar has a few.

I know there have been some people in this thread saying Marco is a success because he is playing in Europe. However, I don't think anyone expected this when he came off one of the best A-league seasons ever. Hugely disappointing to see where his career is right now.

Is his dad still his agent? I think he had an actual agent with contacts etc he wouldn't be coming back to the A-League.

Fuck this stupid game

His dad was only his agent very early on. He's worked with a bunch of agents here and in Europe.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

According to the majority on here we didn't want him because we have a sharke defence and have plenty of attacking options (cough)

SMH: "While Rojas says he looked at his options in Europe, Australia and Kiwi club Wellington Phoenix, it seemed he only had eyes for the Victory, a club whose list was in desperate need of a creative wizard to mesh with front men James Troisi, Besart Berisha and Mitch Austin.

"It would have been silly not to have a look at all the other options," Rojas said.

Forgot they had Austin. FBK, Troisi, Berisha and Rojas have to perform to keep their place.

FBK will be 34 by the time the season kicks off. I can see him coming off the bench for the final 20 and really causing headaches
