Diamanti gets "fouled" by Taylor - yellow card
Davila gets fouled in what appears to be a worse contact, just a free kick.

Is it incompetence or just bias?

Ref's doing OK other than that one missing yellow I reckon. He's being quite consistent. This game will end 10v10 but hey at least the players know where they stand.
