Hooper was the difference for us last season perhaps. They doubled on Ball and our subs didn't have enough impact.

We look a decent side, but not quite clicking in final third. In saying that, hit the post twice and a couple of great saves by them. Good news is we have Piscopo to come into team who will add to our attacking threat.

We were the better side out there tonight (much as last week) just couldn't find the final play. If you think about the luck of hitting the post like we did and Duncan having a blinder, we can consider how much of a fluke this result is. 

there more than enough shown from tonight to make me think that we are on the right track. Just need things to fall our way and we will be off. 

I think its time we have  Sail in goal now, this has to be Muratovic last game for awhile.

First thoughts: I thought we got sucked into their game plan which was to hit us in the counter with pace and it worked, twice. I think Talay unfortunately tonight was well out coached but it happens, he’s a young coach and he will learn from it. Shout out for Paine, Devlin and Mcgarry for trying to create and cause them problems all day. I think we had our chances, but they were clinical (not their usual strength) and it happens. This season in the A League all teams are competitive, with each team getting foreigners who are good. I hope Hemed, Davila and Ball step up as they are our X factor players. I’m not sure why we decided to have a really high backline when we were clearly beaten for pace? Anyway, take the Ls. Next week against a high flying Mariners. Come on you nix

we were caught out twice, errors from Marinovic  and Devere (diving in). Unlucky. It took Hooper a few games to get, maybe next week itll happen for him. Rufer will be back.

Ridenton and Waine didnt take their opportunity enough. Uli worked hard to lead by example.

Might have been the better side but hardly a fluke. They scored more goals than we did and we looked vulnerable at the back. Both their goals came from poor defending, and they had some pace up front.Their keeper looked pretty good and some excellent saves and good positioning.
