man we really need to work on defending dead balls, although I think Rufer did have a case there, hands on both shoulders stopping him from jumping. On balance though it feels Victory were good for that, we let them feel good and believe they can win. Big uphill from here, cant see us doing it but I would love to see the mental fortitude that proves me wrong.

One thing I found frustrating was knocking the ball around the middle when Fenton was free on the right in about a mile of space, maybe he needs to yell more?

I want what you're smoking because I watched him week after week and he is not in sync with the rest of the team. His selfishness is showing

Bring on Ngoy if just to mark Gestede at set pieces!

Waine is barely featuring. Far more prominent with the direct football against WSW.

McManaman whips in a great cross, and Gestede has been a big aerial threat all game.

Short turnaround is clearly a big factor here. It's not like we have killer subs to come on either. I remain hopeful but I'll be genuinely surprised if we get anything out of this tonight.

The Piscopo one touch backheel to Davila on halfway setting up probably our best attack of night seemed in sync with rest of team and not particularly selfish.

Uli is a little selfish too. Not necessarily terrible in an attacker. I watched our team without him and that was not a lot of fun I have to be honest. Doesn't mean you're way off base, but Piscopo is one of our attackers who can make something happen and really put pressure on a defence.

Assume you are talking about Piscopo here. I agree he does make the wrong choice a lot and is frustrating. If defenders know he is going to run at them most of the time it makes them think twice, it also takes pressure off Davila because it means they have to double mark two creative positive players.

I picked Victory to win before match, but was without knowing they would have this many injuries or wouldn't have.  No excuses for us to not get something out of this.

Hopefully the game stays open and we can put away a chance.

Hard to watch once again.  Just not clicking in the front third. Need to change something up. They have a supper young defensive line.

He has creative potential. But he is far too selfish most of the time for it to be a major part of his game.

Am trying to be patient with Muratovic, but he isn't really impressing, which is a shame because just going by the name I'd rate him!

Stop conceding corners like the last one

This is the type of open game where Ball would've been very helpful in linking up with Davila/Piscopo.

Showed his weakness pulling out of that challenge for the ball. Another young aussie player who shouldn't be getting game time.

If only Rufer had Tim Brown's goal scoring ability.

Rufer.

Barn door.

Of course Rufer smashes it over the cross bar.

Shots on target 8 to them and only 1 to us!!!

Incredible how poor he is in this department. In fact there is not a midfield in the entire comp less likely to chalk up a goal than ours.

our passing in the attacking third has been atrocious.

Davila hacked down for the umpteenth time.

Again agreed, you have to ask though, who else is going to score? He is taking it on his own shoulders to be the scorer. The problem there is that every team knows he shoots on the left and dive in for blocks when he pulls the boot back. Like we saw last game, pull pack the peg then dink on to the right, defender dives right in. We should know this by now and Davila should have been told to take advantage of it. Seems he hasnt though. We need to keep defenders guessing and fudgeing organise at dead balls, our record for attacking and defending dead balls is depressing

I don't know anything about football, but Rufer surely couldn't do any worse if he just tried to pass the ball into the net...  As soon as he shoots he seems to have a brain explosion, put his head back and blast it into the stands. Hard to believe Wynton is his uncle!

the fight has gone from us now ay. you can see it in our press - it is disjointed.
also worrying how close Devlin and Rufer are playing together, they are starting to get passed too easily.

that shot from Reno sums up our attack. we get to the area and then fudge it for not taking the best option
