...and it's Popeye, not pop-eye.

No matter, be good if they print it.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

What you did there.

I see it.

Three for me, and two for them.

Hey guys. Don't worry about Lawsy he just makes these random comments to get publicity for his talk show. I get the same thing at work as well "oh well they won't win the next game" it's really frustrating that the majority of the NZ public (who probably will only support rugby or cricket if we're doing well) are so pesimistic. That's one of the fantastic things of being a phoenix supporter, we are real supporters, not just supporters when we're winning. Michael Laws doesn't frustrate me, he doesn't make me hate him etc, he just makes me want to get out there and support my team even more. Peace
Great first post, keep it up, phuk the negativity, latch on to the affirmitive

Just emailed this tot he Wanagui Chronicle, I couldn;t resist:

In November, the esteemed Mayor of W(h)anganui made the following statement about football, in relation to the All-White's qualification for the world cup  "Sadly, last Saturday night was the lifecycle of the mayfly. It is already over." .
It seems that consistent results and crowds for the PWellington Phoenix and the recent form of Chris Woods and Ryan Nelson here in England have  proved our mayfly is somewhat more resilient.
Mr Laws (now widely referred to as Mr. Lols) has cemented his place in the annals of New Zealand local politics idiocy. Why the good citizens let their public representatives embarrass their town in such a way is beyond me.
"sadly, Mr Law's analysis is pop-eye without his spinach. Weak"

i see phil's letter made the wanganui chronicle this morning will be watching the next few days to see if m. laws answers in the paper or sends phil an arrogant email.

They published a letter calling Lhaws "Mr Lols"?

I really don't know what to think of that.

I'd emailed a day after requesting the correct spelling for Wood and Nelsen. Did they publish the right spelling or leave my erroneous nonsense in the letter?

Did they print it as "Mr. Lols"??

I wouldn't expect a reply. Mr. Lols has sent a death wish to that paper:

[quote]Mr Laws had threatened in the past to withdraw the council's advertising spending from the Chronicle amid claims of negative editorial bias, however, Mr Jarden said the editorial integrity of the paper could not be bought, even if it meant losing the district council's communication contract.

Mr Lols, still trying to apply playground 'hardman' tactics = tragic

"if you give me out, I'm taking my bat and going home"

Fasinating... "The lifespan of an adult mayfly can vary from just 30 minutes to one day depending on the species. The primary function of the adult is reproduction ... Uniquely among insects, mayflies possess paired genitalia, with the male having two penises and the female two gonopores. ..."

Pathetic. Not apathetic.

Random sporting trivia question

Which cricketer in a fist class game was bowled out for 4 (below 10, but not sure what exactly), picked up the ball threw it back to the bowler and said they came here to watch me bat, not you bowl and continued to bat??

Whilst the "correct" answer to your question is probably WG, virtually the same was said by a very young Alec Stewart playing in a charity match for Surrey in about 1987 against a small village, Tilford. He was caught at second slip and refused to leave because the crowd "have not come to watch you bowl and field". Not a first class match but still makes him a c*nt.

Anyway..as you were....back to Mr Lols

I'm slightly disappointed!

I doubt if the self-inflated mayorage could give a flying f***. Its all about him in the end. he wouldn't even get it. Generating 3 pages of discussion about Himself would be the only thing that matters.
