Very happy with that result.  I was dreading this match given Heart aren't a bad side and how many players we had away, but the team list actually looked pretty solid.  Not sure how many other squads could turn out a side like that with 7 or 8 players out.  

Were Barbadoes and Malta not playing?  

Clarke should have come on for sure. Pace at the end there would have been killer. 

Im not convinced by our midfield pairing still. We will get overrun if smith and Muscat dont have any support. Think Biss did okay but a lot of the time there was too much space between them

Very happy with that result.  Up against it and came away with a point.  Good to see the young fullas didn't look out of place, bodes well for the future. We just need to make sure we keep our promising youngsters this time...

 When the nix draw, we want a win.. When the nix win, we want a better performance... seriously whats so hard to get?

 Dont think anyone has mentioned how good Spoonley was. Couldnt do much with that goal (he made it to full strength - further than Paston wouldve got thats for sure...), and made a couple of crucial saves, especially Freds effort in the second half where Boxall ended up clearing from the line.

Happy with the draw today.

 TBH, was half expecting Heart to do a job on us like last night's bashing of the Tards by the Roar. With the pressure Heart were applying through the 1st half it was an achievement to be just 1 goal down at HT. Funny how things turned out. 

Now, next week..... 

I put a cheeky $2 on the draw at half-time, when it was paying $6. Thank-you very much!

 That  was a very very good result. That point today could be the difference between a good season and an excellent one.

I reckon the new guys were OK, and some of the older ones were not so good. I reckon Ifill will not start many games this year.

Very happy with a point that if we are honest we would have taken before kick off.  Sure, lots of people should have done better.  But we can see that there is potential for some serious depth in this squad.  As injuries and suspnsions rear their ugly head (Siggy and Dura?????) then. for example, Boxall is great cover.

And lots not forget.  Four more points than either Melbourne V or Sydney after two rounds

Don't think the 4-3-3 works with the players we have. Without a quality creative mid or a targetman it's hard to pull off. Still not complaining about today's result!

Both Huysegems and Ifill's somewhat below par performances can be attributed to the formation I think. Ifill's too old and slow to play out wide now I think and Huysegems was too isolated. Biss was good but would rather have seen the 4-4-2 with Ifill and Huysegems up front and Fenton  and Boyd or Clarke on the wings

not as much as it would have been if Greenie had actually picked up the phone anrtime between 65th min and when he subbed Boyd on in about 82nd

clearly the "I expect to see a sub now, and one  or two on 75 and - if not used - one on 85" call from Ricki wasn't picked up by Greenie

Biss, Rowe, Boxall and Spoonley were all impressive. Ifill was average and Lia was poor.

 underwhelming first half but was expect against full strength hearts, second half lucky luck helped us and the guys were good putting hearts under pressure, Lia I understand you were shit but you were being played out of position, spoonley was great, Fenton continues to wow me and boxall was solid in defence - will be good cover for durante and siggy, rowe was solid but needs to work on set pieces and crosses, shame lindsay wasn't playing

Very happy with that result, even though heart were down to ten.

The young fellas did fine, not sure how many of the other teams cold have managed to lose so many players.

Ifill is off form, I think he may be he Piri Weepu of the Phoenix, I.e he will come good again once he leaves off the pies and gets fit.

In previous seasons we would have crumbled.

The Younguns were good. Boxall, Spoonley and Fenton were great.
Rowe was good
Biss was ok.
The disappointing thing was how bad some of our experienced players were. 
Lia and Smith were terrible.
Muscat and Ifill had poor games.
Very happy with a point though.

And I think that we could and should have subbed earlier to look for the win. It was so obvious that we were on top of them, and that was with us having several obviously tired players. I think Greenie held for the draw, he didnt do anything in case it was a mistake, his first game and all

Of newbies, Fenton and boxall were good. Rowe was just about ok and biss a little less than that.

 Fenton, Boxall, Lowe and Bliss ALL take a bow. You were superb. Bloody superb. Spoony was great in goal too.

Yes. And simply for the clinical way in which he took the penalty AND SCORED FROM IT, he was worth every penny tonight.
