I think this how we will line up and what Melbourne will potentially line up if without Honda and Troisi. On paper looks like a very beatable side.

Hey is the team already in Melbourne training? Watched One News Sport and the interview was done over the phone to rudan in Melbourne.

I believe they may have gone straight from Perth to Melbourne.

At the bottom of your avatar where it says EST, is that supposed to say JEST? I think the J fell off.

So who and when do we play once we’ve beaten Victory?

With all due respect I don't think we'll see Sheridan starting.  I could go out on a limb here and say that Waine impressed me more than Sheridan in our game against Perth.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

My understanding is that they were staying in Perth until the day before the game in Melbourne.

Personally I'd like to see Burgess drop in and take Singh's position who then drops to the bench, form just hasn't been that good in the lead up to this game, seems like he's just tired and had a bit of drop off in form from earlier in the season. Then it'll likely be Sheridan up top to partner Krishna.

As a bolter, maybe have Waine up front to mix things up as he looked handy against Perth and was one of our only threats going forward. Could be a good ploy to start him too and mix things up a bit, get the feeling it'll be another end to end game, and if things aren't going well can look to Sheridan off the bench at some point.

He isn't starting in that lineup he's on the bench.

We'll play Perth if we win.

I think we would be more likely to see a change in formation from Victory than see Muscat playing Kamsoba in a central midfield role in a finals game. More likely to switch to a 4-3-3 or a 4-2-3-1 with Barbarouses and Kamsoba playing wide roles. The midfield diamond that they have used frequently throughout the season seemed to get stretched too thin when playing a team like us that plays wingbacks. It means their midfielders have to drift to the wings to cover for the fact that they don't have wide players, which in turn works for us as the passing triangles that we use (Centre half to wingback to midfielder) are so integral to our buildup play, and this creates space for Mandi and Singh to pick a pass. I'm rambling now, but in short I hope I am wrong and that Muscat is a stubborn bastard who won't change tactics

Hi team,

Just some info for those going to be at the game. I'm just the messenger here.

Ingress – the Supporter bay is bay 14, and the nearest gate to enter is through gate 3 (three)

Egress – This will totally depend on the result – IF Victory win, then they would like to get all Wgtn fans out first and Melb supporters second. WHEN we win, they will get the loser supporters out first and we will be held back to celebrate with the team.

Expecting about 560 Wellington Supporters.

Gates open at 6.50pm – Kick off 7.56pm – Half time 8.43pm – full time 9.45pm (approx.) – extra time and Pens if required, latest should be about 10.40pm.

End of an era.  Vinnie - It's over.

I would be OK with these if they could fill in at right fullback for us.

If/When the Phoenix fold I will be a Mariners fan for life! (Until they fold then I might just give up on football altogether!)

I was gonna say too you had me at a ingress! One of my favourite words!

RE egress policy, wow letting the home fans our first is unheard of. In Italy visiting fans often have to remain in the stadium for hours after the final whistle, often until midnight or thereabouts...

I hope we win this, somehow, just so we can rub into big budget Victory!

My more pessimistic side thinks, we will do not well under the pressure and play not to our potential, do some stupid mistakes and try to score with crosses and long balls.

As long as it doesn't go to penalties...

Where did you hear this?? I bought away section off the email link for season ticket holders and it put me in Bay 12.

At ticketek in Melbs now as their phone number doesn't work......at least they're consistent!

Edit: away bays 12, 13 & 14 apparently. 14 is already full so should be good noise in the corner!
