Hope there will be a full report on the proceedings for those of us who can't make it.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

As a matter of interest how many of you got the email. Not surprised at all not to have got it.Have to wonder just why you bother with a season pass at times. Guess they sent it the first 100 that they wanted to attend.

Just a reminder for everyone, this is tonight at 6pm at the Phoenix club store.

If I wasn't so lazy I'd promise to get some sort of the record of the meeting and post it here, but I am very lazy, so probably won't. Especially if I get drunk afterwards.

But I'm sure someone else, less lazy than me and without an alcohol problem will put something together.

Two points:

1, It's R18 and you are meant to have warned them you are coming.

2, " less lazy than me and without an alcohol problem", here ?  You're having a laugh.

Yeah, if you didn't get an email back from the club saying you're on the list, then you're not on the list...

And if you did get your email, bring your season pass along to get admitted.

And guess I should have said someone less lazy than me (but still pretty lazy) and with less of an alocohol problem than me (but still pretty much an alcoholic) may post something about what was said....

That was really good. Friendly fans, friendly Tony P & Ricki, and food and drink too thanks to Four Kings.

Didn't learn a lot of new stuff, apart from that the Nix were in line to play LA Galaxy in Auckland in December before it was decided an Oceania XI would be there instead.

It was more just interesting background things about the Nix.

I did video some, but it's not so revealing or anything, so I won't put it up.

In theory the club will put a transcript up.

Thought the possibility of stripes not being ruled out for next season was an interesting point.

You might find that a bit tricky - I'll be on my way to Perth for the away game ... the cat will still be here, probably annoying my flatmates ...

- oh yeah, forgot about the stripes!
I hate stripes anyway ...

was a good 45 mins of listening to Tony and Ricki. Whilst there was nothing to revealing or controversial I think it was worthwhile.

Love the stripes idea for next season!! Happy to hear the club is keen on that one!

It was a very pleasant way to spend an hour or so after work on a Wednesday
and I got 25% off a national shirt I was going to get soon anyway.

I like stripes so the news that it may be a goer next year was good to hear.
RBK will still have the rights though, suppose it doesn't matter much and the A-League
must be getting a good deal, but I would like to see each club being allowed to
go with different brands.

Notice the Phoenix reserve team in NZFC idea was on radio this morning.

Had an interesting chat with a couple of people about what sort of rules allowances would need to be made by NZF.

Apparently could happen.

Exactly. Goneburgers if it came off I'd imagine. It's not like the Nix have enough for two teams, so the players have to come from somewhere and can't see two teams working here.

No. The Phoenix are looking to bring young, academy style players, and strenghten the team with the members of the senior squad no required for A-league matches.

In essence, this would be the youth/developmental team that we couldn't get going this year, but instead of the youth league in Australia, it would play in the NZFC so the guys get a taste of competetive football.

So this wouldn't really have a massive impact on the TW playing base, although it probably would eat into their NZFC market share in Wellington. But I'm sure that's something that would be looked at in the negotiations to get this off the ground.

Yeah last night was good. Got an away shirt for cheap and enjoyed free booze and food. What more could a student ask for?
I thought it was interesting about the teams that had approached them in regards exhibition matches,How awesome would it be getting Blackburn here? Would be very special!
Also looking forward to seeing the stripes
