A great club is built on the support of its members and you did us proud in our first season in the Hyundai A-League. Now Wellington Phoenix FC is gearing up for its second year in the competition and we want you to be part of the action. Weve developed a range of membership deals to suit every fan and every budget.

Wellington Phoenix membership packages will be available to existing club members from June 9 with new members able to sign up from June 23. Full information about membership packages including an in-depth FAQ outline will be available shortly

Cheers

Tamara

Lets hope they can cater for the demand for tickets this year.

Actually thinking about it what am I going to do about renewing my ticket... since last year my physical address and email address have changed, plus I gave my season ticket to the mate of the guy next to me in the FZ last year since I was going to miss the last game.

What will I need to prove I was a ticket holder from last year?  Seems I'm probably screwed and will need to wait for the June 23 intake XD

It was on the tail of the draw release saying things will be underway June 9th.  I expect the club will be in touch before then.

Yeah I "expressed interest" via their website, and sent 'Nix HQ an email a few weeks before the draw came out (I was trying to coincide the flight sales to Aussie with away games...), hence receiving an email. But I had never received emails prior (if there were any).

any idea how much the season pass will cost this year?
I think I paid about $80 last year (student deal)

$83 I think it was for silver passes - practically free for a season pass really.  I got an email a week or so ago from Tamara Kassey at WPFC, and they will have student passes again (unfortunately she didn't have any prices etc), but I would assume they would be a little bit more as there are 11 games this season rather than 10, and also it depends what they are putting into the membership packs etc...

Although, if you are renewing your season passes with friends who are not members however, you have to wait until June 23rd.  See email below:

Hi Carol

Thanks for your email.

Yes unfortunately if you want to sit with your friends, you will have to wait until the end of June when memberships become available to the public.

There will be a concessional membership for Students with ID.

I hope this answers your questions.

Kind regards

Tamara

got some membership information today at the game. silver memberships gone up to 225 for adults and 135 for concession (students). thats a big jump from the 80 of last year.
theyre having something called a benchwarmer membership for out of towners. 75 dollars for membership with no match tickets and 100 for membership and one game.
so the question is what the hell are you getting for your 75/100 dollars and why the jump from 80 to 135?

we will have one more home game this year, so that would account for $20 odd of the increase.
The rest - inflation?

As for the $75, that'll probably get you into the lounge.

so is the fever zone is still classed as silver ? i think $225 seems pretty reasonable, if that is the price of the silver season passes.

yeah Fever Zone is silver.
Good price. Students has gone up - but was a ridiculously low price before.

yeah it s gone up...quite a bit to be honest.
It's basically twice as much.
Will still renew but I highly doubt they will sign too many new fans with those prices.

Old fans will renew (most of them) as they follow the club and know that it's worth it, but I'm not sure whether new people will be too keen.

$135 is a jump up from last year's student tickets, but is still a bargain and very much worth it...although to be quite honest, the ridiculous price was the reason why my flatmate and I decided to get season passes last year were because they were so cheap/almost free. However, definitely caught the fever after the Melbourne game, and haven't looked back since! It was definitely the best buy of 2007.

Agree completely - $20 per game is great value.

im in agreement with ya mate. i think a lot more students who are going to be around over summer would of bought season passes at a lesser price, obviously i didn't think it would stay at 80 but up to 135 is a big jump. and im quite ready for people to bleet at me about being a stingy student, im poor people.
in saying all this though im definelty still getting a pass, cant wait!

i still havn't seen an answer to my other question as to why someone would pay 75 for a membership which doesn't get you into any games?

225 is $20 a game - I've often heard above 20 is when the average punter baulks so they are pushing it. I hope they have struck the right balance. For a student though 135 is next to nothing and less than 10% of the average annual bar bill even at happy hour prices. Wot are the equivalent prices at the other franchises?. Sorry I can't be bothered looking for myself.

because by doing so you would be backing a great team who can boast to play international stars such as Gao and Daniel, and local champions such as Smeltz and "Green"..

Honestly I have no idea why!!

Yeah, I know what you mean. My flatmate and I bought season passes last year solely because they were so cheap (we couldn't believe it was that cheap), and at the time they didn't advertise student prices for individual games which made getting a season pass all the more attractive.

We're in a better position then Sydney (aforementioned old flatmate was looking at prices). Check out http://my.sydneyfc.com/forms/SFCMembershipApplicationForm.pdf.

Comparison: $154 for a Silver concession (i.e. a student), which is about $187 NZD depending on the exchange rate. Although arguably, they get paid more, and all that other stuff to be considered as well...

135 bucks is nothing, even for a student.  It's a night out.  Put it on course related costs and quit your whinging!

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

$210 for 11 rugby games with a Wellington Rugby season pass, for the worst/cheapest seats possible - counts as $19 a game, with 5 of those games being Air NZ Cup - not the highest level of rugby union in Australasia.

$225 for 11 football games with a Phoenix silver membership, before concession price, with a Fever Zone seat, counts as $20 a game, every single one of them at the highest level of football in Australasia, every single match counting, and let's not forget going out to the football is a hell of a lot more fun that egg chasing

Easy choice. Money well spent. Bring on June 23 (have to get season tickets with a new member...)
