y is this guy still in the starting side??? wtf.... he has been by far the worst player in the team for first few games, tonight he topped of his run of awful performances with his worst yet. yeah he might be lacking confidence so get him off the f**king pitch before he hurts the confidence of the rest of the team, ohh woops he already has.
Giddy up the phoenix unlucky tonight against the newcastle wanks

I thought he played quite well in the first half and overall. He just can't shoot at all. Why the hell do our good chances always fall to him? I could shoot better.

Totally agree, he should have had 2 goals in the bag and had he got even one of his dozen passes on target we may have got 3, Ferrante f**k off!

He needs to drop back away from the goal, he is a decent player and works well but very bad infront of near goal....First chance hit the goalkeeper and when there wasn;t a goal keeper infront of him he sent it up into the crowd.

I wouldve taken ferrante off, kept felipe on and put Old at left back and move lochhead into left mid...

It's a bit of joke now with this Ferrante character.

I think I might have taken off Aloisi. Not saying he played bad, he just didn't stand out as a contributer. I may be wrong as I wasn't really watching him, but didn't see him pop up at all.

Ferrante is the sole reason we lost. When Brown is back he'll be gone.wellyphoenixfan2007-09-09 19:38:38

Have to agree about Farrante--- The way he's been playing the last few weeks it's been like we have been playing a man down and the opposition have been playing a man up .  Johnson was good today and with Brown in for Ferrante our midfield will be class!

I think he was referring to Ferrante not Aloisi whom I referenced

Michael Ferrante is one of the worst players in the A-League. He shouldnt be in the squad, get rid of him.

The worst player in the A-league??? Pull your head in mate. Sure he didn't have a great game but hes not the worst player out of (8 x 23 =) 184 players registered to the squads.

Ferrante reminds me of the type of players we had at the knights-good aspects but overall just not up to it.

I think people are being a bit hard on him.

Hard yes, not one of the worst playersin the league- but I feel he has performed below average consistently. Decent on the ball in the first half, but as previously mentioned, don't let him near the goal. Dunno, he just really manages to frustrate...

Give him a break. He is getting into goalscoring positions that none of the others are making. He is making opportunities sooner or later one will go in...If you take Ferrante out you won't have a midfielder there for those opportunites. The rest of his game has been better than Aloisi, who looks to be getting a bit old and slow for this level. Maybe the coaches should notice that Ferrante has a knack for being in the right place at the right time to score some goals and work on it. We don't have any other midfielders capable of creating those opportunities that Ferrante is. Why does no one comment on Aloisi?? He has been rubbish by his standards, his game is no better than Ferrante, but no one comments because they are ignorant and only notice goals and missed goals...Analyse a game properly and you will notice Ferrante has been doing well just missing his chances. I'm not saying drop Aloisi because he brings experience to the team but some of you guys should be more objective about your criticism.

Fair call about him getting into position, but still isn't finding his man with his passing game, and touch isn't great.

Its the 'later' part of of one going in that I'm worried about.

i'll wait until I've seen tonight's replay before sl*gging ferrante off, i'm not convinced that the fever zone has an atmosphere that is conducive to rational thought

Yeah, I'll need to see a replay too. When you lose in a frustrating way like that you immediately blame the easy targets.

I actually think Ferrante is in the top five worst players in the league....I would rather have Robbie Slater in the team

Ferrante is the equiv if Devine for the knights IMO the worst players in the either franchise
