tough call. Everyone was good, no real standouts, thought lochhead played his best game for quite some time.
Durante and Siggy strong at back
Daniel and bertos both dangerous

Best game I've seen from Danny Bhoy in a very long while.  Unlucky not to have picked up a second from the free kick.

Was very happy with Lochy and that was definately one of his best, if not his best game in a couple of seasons. Daniel also showed he has a role to play at the club and should be considered for the starting side. Also was extremely impressed with Siggy who showed some real composure at the back.

Agree prof.... although after his first three touches I would have gladly seen him dragged!

Voted for Manny. Newcastle's attacks were pretty much all down his flank and he was unstoppable on defense.  He made so many tackles, closed down so many players and generally made a nuisance of himself.

Voted for Leo seeing as Daniels already won.
Both payed well, much better than last season. Bertos back to his old self and Daniel stepped up to fill the hole Ifil left admirably.

Great to see Daniel at his passionate best. Good to see we've remembered someone on the back post can sometimes pay off too.

Also nice to see Leo running at people again, was worried he'd never be the same after those filthy w**keroo's looked to lop his legs off in the World Cup warm up matches.

And i'd like to see Alex Smith get a few more minutes next week too. His pace was impressive, and he wasn't that far off scoring, but then, the Jets were pretty much crawling back to the changing rooms by that stage.

Daniel consolidated himself as New ZEaland's best paid cheerleader.

Oh, and he scored. He should be on the bench given that we can barely get a team together. One stirling performance against a poor Jests side does not necessarily mean the second coming.

+1
dura, leo, daniel, sanchez all had good games, lochy did some good things, siggy, well siggy, did the bizz, greenacre all workrate as usual, and even Mr Invisible um was visible and took a great goal.  Ward probably the only guy for me who missed too many pass completions and was clumsy defending - wasn't his day.

great team effort

He had his moments last week as well though.

Must have been in the second half when my feed died; don't remember getting excited by much he did in the first half.

Still, I'm prepared to forget the last 2 seasons if he can string together 6 games like last night.

Put one in for Brown. Wasn't the best on the park but had a good game and didn't deserve the red, so deserves at least one vote for the goal

When i saw Brown have a head clash, i nearly yelled in happiness, because i could forsee the arrival of the season's first lucky headbandage.

I was quite despondent when it didn't eventuate, despite the win.

Maybe the reds were punishment for him not adorning the lucky headbandage?

He was atrocious in the first half, just way off the pace. 2nd half a different story, a lot of very nice combinations with Lochie and Leo especially, plus the goal of course. Hopefully that performance will give him the incentive to kick on and make himself more than just a bit-part player this season. An in-form Daniel is great to watch.

Was good to see Daniel do so well, and get plenty of support on here after the pre season bagging. He always seems happy to be in the clubs colours on game day and part of the community etc on the news or after scoring. Great club man.

I gave it to Manny though, he's gotta be one of the most underrated players in this league.
