Too hard, sorry. I found it hard to vote Smeltz because of 2 pens. I didn't see much of him other than hitting the post - maybe that's enoughRoyal2008-10-06 22:04:40

smeltz was all over the show. great work rate. Was closing down to defenders at once -winnning the ball - laying off. CLASS

I can't give it to the backline, as despite the deflection El**ch should never have had that room, and even offside Zura and Patafta were in too much space.

I thought Brownie did a lot of good stuff, Smeltz was everywhere.  So it is down to those two.

How's my driving? - Whine here

Brown

Smeltz was great defending from the front though - especially how he kept going till the end even in that heat.

Smeltz, took the penalties well, and was more involved

Brown, that shot he did in the first half surprised me.

Smeltz, Brown, Lochy easily the best.

Smeltz would've gotten my vote simply for being handed the pressure of that second penalty, great work. Brown deserves a mention (again), but nothing else to really note for the rest.
Honestly smeltzfan1, Johnson was (once again) completely anonymous and doesn't deserve a start.
You know we belong together...

not sure why smeltz is getting all the votes, he was very quiet early on, kinda got lost, not used to not being the point man I guess, and all he did was hit two penalties he did nothing to earn. Gave it to Locky, who IMO played really well, sturdy in d, good attacking crosses as always.

Queenslander 3x a year.

Tim Brown for me. He's like the bolt in the middle that holds everything together. No co-incidence at all that the upturn in performances and fortunes has come at the same time he returned to the team.
Nix, Leyton Orient and Alloa Athletic supporting schmuck.

Brown for me.....

The last couple of games we have been much better and part of the reason is that an inform Brown has been playing. Remember how crap our DM play has been this season. Well Brown has gone a long way to improving that. He brings a bit of bite to our midfield. He runs and tackles and hustles the opposition. Plus he has got decent shooting ability. None of our other midfielders seem to know how to shoot.

If Brown stays fit and inform for the rest of the season then we are on the road to success. Now we just need a creative passing midfielder.......Simon Elliot anyone?
