Reedy bit a crap load more in 90 minutes to get us a point that Caceras did in 25 minutes.

We wouldn't of even got a point if Caceres didn't come on.

And if Reedy hadn't made a couple of quality saves early the goal wouldn't have mattered.

Daniel, Lochy were absolutely hopeless. Bertos is well off the boil too. Caceres, McKain and Reddy saved a point. The others were passengers.

Brown for MOM  ?

You got to be f**king joking

He is terrible at finishing off in front of goal

Missed an open goal with his header  - twice

Cost us the game

Imagine if this happens in World Cup game -

Bertos has been woeful recently but you can still see he seems confident?  Why?  Is he still getting it from the freekick goal against Perth?

He's done nothing of late to merit any confidence at all and needs a kick up the arse from someone asap.

Might just be me, but I think Leo is in danger of becoming our version of Brosque. Seems to spend a huge amount of time on his backside whining about being fouled (when he hasn't been)

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Agreed... I think defenders in the A League have his number now, he is rarely getting to the bi-line now, his stepovers fool now one and when he does get there, maybe one in ten crosses are any good. His free kicks and corners are apalling.  The exact same comments can of course also be made for Daniel.  It is disappointing because at the start of the year, he was being touted as fantastic, "and if he was only scoring more goals, he would have been sensational". The freekick against Perth, was a lucky strike which has been bourne out by all the feeble efforts since.

drop Bertos and Daniel to get the message through that they have to perform much better.

there are heaps of players lining up to take their places.

Its no accident that some of our guys are not firing like they did earlier. Opposition coaches pour over the game tapes, they work out ways to stop players. most time now defending teams send two players out to cover Leo wide. Early season he was fantastic...now its a lot tougher for him.

Same with Ifill...he's been worked out to a certain extent. He always turns away from a defender and then knocks the ball wide with his right foot. Its easy to spot and teams work out ways to combat him. He was devestating midseason when he got his fitness up. Now defenses know what he is up to.

The way to combat this is play the game at a higher pace...get the ball through the midfield to our attackers quicker so defenders are on the back foot and have less time to organise.
Why don't we?.....this could take hours. Basically we don't play a lot of fast counter attacking football. We have a lot of good attackers who can beat a man one on one...Leo, Ifill, Caceras, Troy, Costa. Their life is made much more difficult when we play slow buildup stuff and they are faced with a box full of defenders.

To me we are playing a traditional frontman striker/targetman game with wingers supplying crosses without having a traditional frontman striker/targetman. So you end up with a whole lot of short fast guys playing the wrong role. Thats why we are struggling to put sides away.

Just seen some interesting Stats.... Daniel an attacking Midfielder, has scored two goals and provided 3 assists. Not the sort of statistics we really want from one of our so called attacking weapons and highlights one of our areas of weakness imo

Again, uncomparable stat. Hes playing in a team that isnt finishing its chances,or isnt doign so well at scoring goals. Not entirely his fault in that regard, there are 11 men on the pitch. Perhaps "goal scoring chances created" is a better stat, but still fairly meaningless on its own.

I agree in part, that the stat is not the be all and end all, but it does provide a gauge that for whatever reason, he is not really doing what  is required of an attacking midfielder, either scoring goals or creating chances. He is getting plenty of oppotunity in terms of game time and of getting balls in the opposition half.

As far as I'm concerned all players in the squad should be banned from doing step overs.  They look so unnatural from our players and you worry they'll just trip over themselves and look like dicks.

Daniel's probably the best of a bad lot in regards to these, but seeing Bertos do it is embarassing.

Edit: By stepovers I mean when our attacking is standing idly in front of a defender and doing them, not when they're running at full pace (both players) and a single stepover could send the defender the wrong way far easier.

Edit again:  By doing them I don't mean having sex with the defender, rather doing step overs.
