Perhaps but then you could say that our defence would not be so organised or that he would not of gone out for that ball that Fowler would of got or made that freekick save due to his height...

A better keeper may of saved the goal we scored but not saved another chance.
if our defence was so organised, what was happening with our marking when they scored ?

The simple answer is Lochead was having a sleep.
This. Also Paston can only be responsible for getting his players organised, not what they actually do. Lochhead was just weak there, no idea what he was doing.

I thought they aimlessly bashed it into the box, and it bounced around to someone who scored. I'm not going to bash our defence for that.

Durante fell over, which gave the scorer the chance. should have been stopped though. went under paston

It was the poorest of free-kicks.  No doubt Fowler will say how it was all planned though.

We had a 4 man wall for a 36 yard free kick, they had their keeper up for the free kick and we were massively outnumbered in the box, loose ball fell to the Fury player who reacted a lot quicker than Lochead even with Lochead hanging off his shirt and he knocked it past Paston.

Not when you have 4 in the wall!

Doesnt really matter who is to blame for the goal...we didnt score enough goals and I still cant see where the goals are going to come from to give us any kind of cushion

Manny and Lockhead got forward well in the first half but not really a force in the second.
Daniel, Leo Ok
Ifill usual good but lost possession over doing it a few times.
Brown I am appreciating but he's not quite the creative mid.  Would love to see how we would go with him playing the deeper of two mids and Caceres given a run in the middle.
Durante, Lia and Siggy solid, apart from Dura's slip at the end.
But without meaning to stir and given I thought no one else had a great standout game my vote to Paston for a couple of good saves.

The simple answer is by giving Greenacre more chances. Everyone in the team (In midfield or more forward) it seems gets atleast 1 easy chance a game except Greenacre!wellyphoenixfan2009-09-20 21:00:03

Brown went end to end all day and looked likely. Easy pick for me.

Also suspect he played the last 10 with an injury that would normally have seen him off.

I thought he wasn't flash after he got knocked. Another impressive game and is getting better all the time

Ifill...again although he is trying too much sometimes as his frustration goes with what  I suspect is lack of patience at some of his teammates shortcomings.

Isn't it great to see even Ferrante and Hearfield getting a vote. Makes you realise how lucky we are to live in a democracy!

Democratically picked football team would be fun. Votes on the formation and team selection each week. Everyone in the stadium has buttons to press for who should be subbed and when. They'd finish last.

No he was annoyed at the officials for allowing the off-the-ball body checks by the NQF players to carry on. Not one whistle from those fouls.

Is Rojas > Hearfield? Just putting it out there? I know Hearfield tries and he did play well for us but what do people think? Hearfield and Ferrante have both had a lot of time on that bench and neither really adds too much to the game for me. Think we should be dropping Ferrante atleast for next week.

Ifill for me. He was sorely missed after going off.

Paston flapped a couple of times but also made several crucial saves

Agree. Watching Lochead reminded me of a certain Brazilian left back back in 1982.  Great runs down the wing and he did get back as well.  A bit more subdued in the secnd half (but the whole team was except for maybe Greenacre who kept running his legs/socks off).
