ive been saying since day one that coveny has done his dash..a new striker or two is imperative or else season is over. Wouldnt mind seeing an half decent central midfielder either.....

I've been harping on about it for weeks, Covs and Gao are a complete waste of time. Daniel and Ferrante have to start next week, they both looked solid when they came on.

Also Moss has gotta start next week.

Siggy (as usual) and Bertos were the only 2 who started that deserve a mention.

I'm sure this has been said a hundred times but I just can't figure out what role Coveny is there to do... he can't control the ball so it can't be as a target man.... he can't/won't shoot so he is not there as a goal poacher... and he can't pass more than 2 feet so he is hardly going to feed his AMs with attacking options.... he is a complete waste of space....it annoys the hack out of me when people say he runs hard all day or is still quick for an older guy.... the other elder statesmen (ie Corica, Charlie Miller (I think that's his name from the roar) all possess a great touch and vision; Coveny has neither. Neil Emblem woud be more effective than Coveny up front and that is saying something.

He was a good name to have in season one to add credibility but is now a liability and Ricki needs to make some hard calls and put reputation aside.
