Lia for me. Very good defensively and went forward quite a few times. Caceras is pushing Daniel hard and Durante solid again. A-Leagues best defender this season along with Colosimo. wellyphoenixfan2009-11-08 20:04:44

Lia got caught with the ball quite badly a couple of times which nearly cost us. His passing was poor - same with just about everybody until Bertos and Caceres came on. Colvinator2009-11-08 20:05:19

I thought Durante had a pretty average game by his standards. Lots of little slip ups.

Caceras man of the match for me. Amazing off the bench.

Manny was solid throughout I thought. Everyone else had flashes of great and average. Subs delivered impact which is what we want too.

Durante for me.  Rock solid at the back.

Bit of a worry when most of the AW's don't get a vote.

Yes the best of the Kiwis was probably Bertos.

He was, and I reckon he was rested for next week-- good move.

It is Caceres

For consistency of defending and distribution Manny took it for me. Too many poor passes from the other 3 defenders tonight.

About 70% of Daniel's ball was very good; 3 or 4 lovely flick passes too. Lia was hard working but coughed up a lot of possession in dangerous positions.

Durante seemed to have his worst game for a few weeks, probably cos he's been outstanding during that time. Manny was the rock at the back this week....

No one really had a cracker, all made little mistakes. Caeceres made a good impact though he gets my vote.

def Caceres seems to be really enjoying playing for us.

think Brown was pretty timid today, probably cautious of next week

Siggy seemed good, again cautious of next week.

and a bit of the old Bertos showed up today, good to see.

I think a draw was a fair result there. More goals from both sides definatly should of been scored but for poor finishing or terrific defending it was not to be.

I thought Queseraseras was pretty decent.

Manny had one of his best games I think, Lochhead too was solid.

Caceras and Bertos were outstanding when they came on. So i'll give my vote to the former, looks like he really wants a start and is almost there IMO.

I thought Todd had a great game for Perth.

Manny from the starting players, but Caceres and Bertos looked very good also.

Muscat for me, good solid game.

Bertos and Caceres together changed the game.

Muscat?? Really?? He was caught out of position so so many times and caused us quite a bit of defensive worry.

Hard to call, caceres for impact,or ifill for heart and skill. Voted Caceres to take him further ahead of manny

No, I think Manny was being left to hang out and dry and coped admirably with all the space that two of their blokes were attacking in the first half. He gets my vote.

didn't think anybody stood out - ifill a bit quiet after taking the crash tackle and i don't think can easily get into teh game when asked to play up front in the middle - same problem as greeny, they can't get the ball to him thru the D and too short for all the crosses

both Caceres and Leo added a lot coming on, but how do you give a MoM for 15 and 20 minutes?  Maybe it'd be leo for me.

Of the starters, maybe manny, did the job, no errors i noticed and good going forward again.  greeny did a fair bit getting back helping the midfield

no vote for me, nothing quite warranted a MoM

was Tim Brown actually playing today? I saw him hanging around on several occassions but not actually contributing anything

+1111111

Manny had a shocker in the first half, RB my arse, he even popped up as left back, all over the place, if Perth knew what they were doing the should have exploited Manny going mental and AWOL.

That is so tempting to agree with you on this. Who wanted to be the center of attention today? Well he certainly earned it and got it. I would not have minded if he was incompetant for biooth teams, it would have balanced out, but it was just a tad obvious that he was caining us and letting them - especially No21, get away with pretty much most things.

That ref earned and got what he deserved from the crowd today. Muppet? not even the Muoppets are that bad.

AWOL or picking up the pieces of a struggling midfield?

In that first half he was being left with 2 blokes to mark far too often

And that half volley required just a bit too much skill, didn't it?

Not quite sure how Careres gets MOM votes over players that toiled for 90 mins. I would give him Man of final 8th award no problem but for the match?

Lia

There was a few times that Muscat was really slack on his marking while defending. So definately not man of the match.

Lia was below average.

Actually the man of the match was probably Andy Todd. He never gave our short arsed strikers a sniff, tackled hard when needed, fouled when needed, his runs forward were the most dangerous things Perth put together. He did damned well.
Stuff him, cost us the game!

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

Muscat? I don't get it I thought he had a bit of a mare apart from a couple of really good plays.

Lochhead gets my MOM cos he wasn't totally crap for once and nobody else really stood out. Lochhead actually did some good things, hopefully he keeps it up.

are you related to him or know him ???????

Lockhead over the season has pissed me off no end with his poor postional play and I don't give a sh*t attitude when he would lose the ball.
But today was different, his defensive play was spot on with two telling tackles when Perth were attacking.
Also he was confident on the ball and made the right choices when playing the ball forward.
So he gets my man of the match due to his improvement and change of attitude.
Take that positive play into the All White Mr Lockhead.

Lochhead played well as did Muscat but my vote went to Caceres.  He injected a lot of energy into the game and played very well.  My only whinge is that twice he let a ball go out when he could have got to it had he sprinted.  I thought Durante did alright.  When he sprinted up the middle of the field he looked very dangerous, every time he's gone on one of those runs has he looked dangerous.  Ifill played average by his standards, as did Brown.  Sigmund was average, while Lia did alright I thought, but not MOM quality like on Wednesday.

Not voting as there was no clear MoM for me.

But do agree with HH and other pro-Manny-ites. I thought he played well covering sometimes two players and always a lot of space to defend. Sometimes he got beaten but he turned and ran like crazy to get back and made some very telling tackles at crucial times on a few occasions.
