Nice to be spoilt for choice for a change! I went for Dodd, thought him and Sigmund were superb at the back

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Could have gone to a lot of people, but I thought Ferrante had an outstanding first 45, which swayed it for me.

only way to have kept the trend of lopsided poll result would be to have made this weeks one a wort player opinion, no guesses for who'd be leading there, al the outfield men were incredible.

Like the commentators said it's a hard one to call because (for once) there was passion and commitment across the park.  I voted Super Leo because of his goal and his general attacking play.  His corners were rubbish (bring back Daniel) but he was excellent in open play, took a lot of searching balls and kept it in and kept possession.  I can't remember one of his crosses being blocked like ol El**ch excelled at, I've said it before and will again, I like him up front where he can break the defensive line - and having 3 up front really suited that.

Lochhead finally woke up as well, and funnily enough with only 3 across midfield we totally dominated them through the middle of the park.

Bertos for mine. From my patchy Iraqi feed he looked lively, ran hard, good goal too and all on top of some significant pressure after his shocking miss, Goldy leaving and a new position. Top effort!

Was a toss up between Brown and McKain for me. McKain got it. We won because of the pressure the midfield put on Sydney - McKain was a huge part of that and so was Brown. Ferrante...maybe I just miss him all of the time but I don't really see what he does. Obviously other people saw something in him tonight that I didn't. I remember him giving it away about 3 times in a row and air swinging..

Thought that Dodd was good but in the first half our centre pairing was all over the place.

Had to come from a fired up midfield. Even though the rest played well, the winning of the game was in the middle. With that in mind McKain stood out like Everest.

did not see the game so cannot vote in this but it is nice to see the votes so far spread across most of the team shows that they all picked up there game

McKain for me him and Brown dominated the midfield (along with Ferrente) which won us the game. As some one said before its hard to vote for a best player.

Can I vote for Ricki?
Finally he got the tactics, players and positions spot on. Could have got some replacements on earlier when we tired in the last 20 but we WON and he needs to take some credit coz we totally outplayed them.

I honestly thought Ricki's decision to bring Costa on when we were hanging on at 1-0 (Sydney equalized before he got on the park I think) was a little strange, given that he is so inexperienced. But it worked out OK in the end, thank goodness.

Can't decide who to give MOM to. Maybe Brown, who was like a pitbull there in midfield. Maybe Smeltz, who put in a huge amount of defensive and attacking work up front. But actually they were all fantastic.

Herbert for me, and we should start calling him Herbert from now on, Ricki sounds to soft. Looked lean and mean with his moustache, like a young Charles Bronson.

Bertos. Great header and his pace is gold. Lochead second, after bagging him bigtime he was great. Sigmund third, he did a ridiculously great tackle in the 2nd half on someone and  it made me feel great to be a Phoenix supporter.

The Midfield won the game for us (so often it has been our main cause for concern), so in my order of preference -

Brown
McKain
Ferrante

ferrante, it was good to see him back, he has the vision we need in the midfield. what a great day for the  phoenix

MOTM was wilso. His comment of "Bertos will never score for the 'nix" was enough to tempt the football gods into giving us a break a few minutes later

/voted Brown

Watching him give the half time talk, he looks quite intense and was laying down the law. Was good to see him showing the "other side" instead of the nice laid back impression. You could see he meant the busines and the team responded with one of their better displays yet.

yeah, thats what I remember. a couple of reasonable passes from Ferrante, but nothing outstanding, and a number of unnecessary turnovers. I remain very unconvinced.

Brown and Mckain made life very difficult for Sydney, a couple of jittering moments in the middle at the back but generally sound and our back four is turing into a pretty reliable unit. Muscat had a pretty handy game. No Allsop to run at him this time. I liked how this formation allowed Lochhead to get further forward. He looked dangerous at times.

Bertos quiet to start with but great run to get on the end of that cross from Brown and was a threat in the second half down the right. Hearfied didnt feature much. Smeltz not at his best, but showed some good touches and held the ball up well.

Paston was poor. puched when he should have caught and conceded the goal through sloppy technique. I think he is now at fault directly for two goals since he's been playing (Patafta goal v Newcastle and last night) plus he should have saved the first goal by perth last week. he has done his dash. in fact, never should have started last two games. Moss has to come in.

MOM is a tricky one - Ill give it Brown - a bit slow on the ball at times , but for the assist, for his workrate defensively and for not letting the sydney midfield get any rhythm going.

it's good to see a fairly even spread of votes...i missed most of the game unfortunately, so I can't vote. Oh what the hell - Chips, cos he rules.

Great to see a bit of animation from Herbert at last.

A great team effort and only Paston had a poor game, not just the goal but was also unconvincing with couple of those punches.

Super Leo. But everyone deserves a big tap on the back other than Paston who was awful.
