Old's hoofs from the backline were dreadful though, and Elrich surely most have some really incriminating photos of Ricky, otherwise I just can't understand how he's still in the starting line-up.
Thought long and hard about this, and decided to vote for Dodd. He
was absolutely superb last night.

Dodd. He was in control all night.
Please get rid of Elrich. Last 3 games - 42 crosses - 3 hit
their target. Not good enough.

Smeltz scored a great goal, what else did he do? still has the
first touch of an elephant
Hey now, some elephants do have football skills:

Smeltz had a great game. Elrich does more than just cross the ball
he posses a real threat to defenders, sure he has been disapointing
sometime but I think hes done some great stuff since joining the
mighty nix!

found out it was Oginovski that i gave my reto ricki to. And he has been wearing it already apparently.
Meeting Dodd for the first time last night, I think he would
have a good influence on the team off the field, as he seems to be
a very genuine bloke who cares a lot about the success of the
team

I like Dodd. You can see he gives a sh*t. Unlike Elrich.

I think Lochhead was instrumental in keeping Kruse quiet last night (other than the goal, where Kruse showed how dangerous he is). I think Old under-estimated him. But Lochhead poses his own danger on that side of the park. I think that without him there last night, Kruse would have run rampant.
I like Dodd and think he is very solid and positionally savvy, but couldn't understand why he kept kicking the ball away last night, giving Qld a chance to re-group and re-build each time. That was an important factor in why it took the 'Nix so long to settle and get some possession I think.

Voted for Smeltz - goals, goals, goals! But also thought Dodd and
Rees played well, Dodd for being in the right place at the right
time, time and time again, and Rees for getting forward positively.
As for Old, oh dear, he really looks out of his depth in this
league at the moment unfortunately for us (and him!)

I have to agree with comments about the qualities that Smeltz
lacks, but certainly can't take anything away from him. His finish
last night was first class. He seemed to know all along he would
score that. And he's top of the league....!!
I still think Dodd had a Dudd though.

I went for Rees. Solid as a rock. For the first half of the
season we were on the look out for a decent right back. We seem to
have that sorted now and just need to worry about the left!
(How many times did they go straight past Old?)
I'd give a cheeseburger to Elrich, but after watching him on
Friday I think he's eaten too many already.

ferrante for me, his passing and dist keep getting better, sure he
will score before season end

Bertos got one, so there is hope for Ferrante...

Either Old himself is on the boards, or its the person who always brings the "That's gOLD" banner.
Or his mum.
Or Stephen Old (re: full90)

Ferrante is our equivalent of what Robinson is to Perth. Does
a lot in the middle and can distribute well (much better than
Robinson I think), but FFS don't give him a sight of
goal.....!!!!

First poll I can remember where Moss hasn't got a single vote.
Defence must be improving.

Totally agree, he couldn't even kick one of those giveaway
balls into the stand after the game!

off the side of his boot

Rees is not a right fullback. He's a central defender. And we have a good left back/wing back in Lochhead.

How the hell did Lochead get more votes than Ferrante? What a
joke, his passing was just as bad as Olds.

Bit late here... For Friday I'd like to add that The Crowd had a
cracker. The atmosphere was ExCeLlEnT!!

I should point out that for the Roar match we had cheesy
italian nibbles, followed by a bar of caramello. Several pots of
chips. Something labelled as a hot dog but probably the vilest
looking and according to the gang vilest tasting item of the season
so far. Just thought you'd want to know.

Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.
