Paston's killer saves kept us in it. Without him we would have been 3-0 down at half time and all Manny's heroics would have been nothing but consolation.

Moosekat. You can't not give it to him after all that.

Special shout out to Nick Ward who actually made a useful pass (although you could see he wanted to hold on to the ball for as long as possible) into the penalty area.

Manny will take this at a canter I guess, but that was a strong team performance with just about everyone doing well.

Especially good I thought were Siggy, Durante, Ifill (in 2nd half), Brown, and Greenacre.

Yes, just a shame it was in the wrong penalty area.

He'll get it right eventually.

I shrieked like a woman when he did that.

Serious question - what did Iffy do to be awarded the Fox MoM?

Banstick for everyone who doesn't vote Manny.
Just kidding, Paston and Ifill were fantastic, others were great.
Thought it was probably Browns best game.
Set pieces from Smith were a class above Leo's and better than Lia's. Nice to have a DM who can deliver a good long ball.

Paston looked good I think Warner would have struggled with a couple of the saves he made!

The answer to life's problems are rarely found at the bottom of a beer glass - but it's always worth a look.

Paston still makes me uneasy - sure he made a couple of good saves, but still flapped around too much, and had that one ungainly save from a long-distance shot which he should have held comfortably but he just awkwardly palmed away for a corner.

Paston hasn't conceded a goal since coming back into the starting team. Enough said.

I have been vocally critical of Tim Brown lately. I thought he was very very good against Newcastle. He ran a lot (most of the time), he closed people down in the mid-field (most of the time) He made himself available for outlet passes (a lot of the time), he played mostly good balls forwards. He was passionate. He kept going right till the final whistle.

My hat is off to you Tim. Well played sir.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Phoenix fans. We have to win them over one fan at a time.

Agreed, I'm certainly no Tim Brown fan, but thought he had a pretty good game on Friday night.

Agreed, 100%. Keep it up Tim.

Hard to go past Manny for man of the match. He would probably have earned it even if he hadn't scored. But that goal, and the reaction, has to be one of the best moments of the season.
