Smith for me, but not just because of the goal. He was making some very good attacking moves, and just before he scored I thought about who I would vote for on this poll, and decided on Smith.

I have always been a Smith man, I think he is worth the import spot, he is very focused on the game, has vision to provide some great delivery for us.Azevo2011-12-18 21:45:28

We will never fully decide who has won the football.

I like Smith, seems to be passionate about the club, be good if we could extend his stay here.

Are the people who voted for Leo, Pav and Brown just trolling?

We like to call it comic relief voting, much like voting for conservatives party in the general election.

We will never fully decide who has won the football.

He seems to have quite a good passing range, ability to beat a man, and often takes the right option. I havnt really seen him make any mistakes, and I like players who seem to pride themselves on doing all the little things right.

Would be interested to see him out wide, or further forward, but I did like him in that holding role while Lia was out. Another goal scoring midfielder is always handy, and he seems to have that ability.

Would hope to keep him on, IF Ricki keeps playing him - no point in having an import player we use sparingly.

Yeh Brown rather unusually had his radar off. 3 chances and couldn't get one on target.

It is customary, whenever there is a poll, that some cock votes for the player who either didn't play at all, or who had an absolute shocker. Apparently it's funny!

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

I thought the custom was to vote for Tony no matter what?

Also, this poll needs more Lochy.

Thats the key point for next year.
If we are going from 5 imports to 4, you pretty much want 4 who are a lock to start each week. Is Smith a lock to start each week?

We have Ifill whom is 100%, Greenacre is there by default, Warner and Paston its hard to argue a difference and Smith. Seems like a nice chap and maybe he can kick on and show us a bit more to put him in the frame for one of the 4 spots.

Edit: Forgot Sanchez as well whom should stay on as one of the 4.

I still dont agree with signing him on for any longer than the end of this season with the reduced foreign quota. IMO if youre only going to be allowed 4 international players, and then 3 the following season, every effort should be made to ensure that theyre among the very best in the league (ie. Ifill).
