1. Beautiful fine days for our home games
2. 10,000 plus for home games
3. Get a home semi and turn the RoF into a 35,000 capacity fever zone and roar the roof off.

1  Make the  Ring of Fire intimidating for the opposition.
2 Make Paul Henry praise the Team every Monday morning.
3 Show the New Zealand public that we are great ambassadors for the WORLD GAME.

2. Beat Gold Coast the second time we play them.
3. Beat Gold Coast the third time we play them.

ps. Bevan, we've also never beaten Brisbane/Queensland Roar.

1) Paul Ifill to score more goals than Fowler and Aloisi combined so I win a $5 bet I've had with a mate of mine.
2) Arsene Wenger to say : ``Marco Rojas is a player who interests me''.
3) Play off football.

OK, so we all want the Nix to win the league. But this thread is about more modest aims.

You have to name 3 smaller things you would like to have happen this season. Things that are possible, not unreasonable, but would still be an achievement.
Maybe it's to have a particular player score a goal.

My three are:
  • Beating Adelaide. The only team of the other original 7 who we haven't beaten yet. I'd probably prefer it at home, but either is OK.
  • Jon McKain to get more recognition. He's one of our best players in my opinion. He should have been selected for the A-League Socceroos squad.
  • Play a beautiful passing game like we did in season 1.

Just a tjhought regarding this... Have we beaten Queensland/ Brisbane roar yet?

1- Beat GC at home
2- higher crowd average than last season
3- more goals scored than last season

  • Have more woman take their shirt off for the phoenix this year! (more than none)
  • Make the playoffs more than any other NZ Team in the A League history! (ditto)
  • Convince the missus that pre & post game drinks really do start & finish 4 hours either side of every game for everyone else and so should I!

Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

I would actually like to see a couple of big name Australian players in the squad for 2010-11, to remind the football community across the ditch that we are a part of the Australian football community and increase support for remaining in the league. A returning Socceroo after the World Cup as marquee would be perfect.

Sorry to be a bit off topic as this is one of my modest aims for next season.

Playoffs
Attend at least six games despite living in Auckland (already booked in for 4)
Put scarf in internal mail for Paul Henry when Phoenix win the league

Modest aims? Why be modest unless your happy with the 'turning up to play' prize.
And since there is no prize for turning up or a certificate for a "good effort from the boys".

1. Make the playoffs
2. Make the final
3. WIN IT

Yeah, 3-2 like the 79 FA Cup, spawn a book like "Fever Pitch" and the movie too...

1. Marco to debut as a sub on the left hand side attacking the Fever Zone end of the ground in a match we already lead so we can go completely mental to welcome him... against Perth...leading 2-0... in ten days time.
2. Beat Gold Coast.
3. Play-offs.

What I wish mostly is for us to play good Football. Ball on the ground, showing some skills a bit more.

Also would be great to get the crowd numbers up and get more chanting throughout the crowd.

Playoffs would obviously be great, but to be honest I'm not particularly confident of that at this stage...

I understand you want to be real but sometimes you have to learn to bullsh*t, because it's good for your confidence and confidence is that bit that gives you that extra push to win.

I want to see at least one game this season in which we score 5 goals.  6-0 against Newcastle would be gold.  Can't wait.  I'm on tenterhooks.

1. Winning the golden boot (and keeping it in the club),  Greenacre or Ifill I dont mind. Wondering who will be taking penalties this year??

2. Having the crowd numbers ever increasing, culminating in a record attendance in the semifinal playoff at home

3. A marquee gets wind of the beautiful style of football the Nix are playing and applies (begs) to join the club
