Hey Nathan, I forgive you for not paying me that money you promised in 3rd form at Kapiti College.

Cheers for that Nathan, never seemed like your intended path in life, but you jumped in and steered us in the right pathways, always a true pro, and wish you the best for the future.

Now onto the replacement... Tony P may not be available fulltime, but wonder if we could have him in a role based in Aus somehow to work with the new incoming CEO?

Is it possible one of the Nix Nine could take up the job???

CEO is a full time job (particualrly if you're also doing marketing).  Having one of the Nervous Nine investors be the CEO is also rather awkward.

You've probably just given them a title to run with now.

We will never fully decide who has won the football.

I hope that he was not pushed. He had a lot on his plate the last year or so and did it with some dignity

Auckland will rise once more

Yeah I was thinking this also, but if one of them had the time, then who knows..?

Would love to have TonyP back in some capacity. Not sure how it would work though

good job nath, you're a good dude, pity it couldn't continue

probably not a surprise considering the new ownership and nathan's seemingly permanent 'interim' status

Definitely not pushed.

Nathan did an awesome job for so long to keep the Nix going, pity no-one really knows how much he contributed and the 16 hour days he was putting in. Won't say anymore at this stage.

You can't question his work ethic or his commitment especially in difficult times but he was probably a little out of his depth being CEO of a professional sports company. Welnix have always said they wanted to get the right people in important positions. Considering their track record in running business's then you would have to accept that they know who they want running the show.

Can't have been that out of his depth. For example, I can't imagine Sony could have been easy to convince to stay on as sponsor given the clubs fragile existance.

Good luck to you Nathan if you read this, and cheers for the hard work.

Hat off to him. Kept the club ticking through some very tough times. He could've jumped ship a lot earlier, but didn't. Thanks for your efforts!

Well done Nathan for your dedication through all the turmoil and thanks for sticking around for this long since Terry's departure. Its certainly given the Nix a fighting chance of survival this season.
As to who replaces Nathan...who knows?
Interesting to note John Hart has ended his role with the Warriors.Perhaps he'll end up with the Nix in Wellington after he's done his golf stint, as they develop the Academy? Maybe they'll start a Super Sports Centre of Excellence owning  the Hurricanes, a 2nd NZ League franchise, and hell... chuck in the Pulse as well...why not?

Improving,,on the up, a work in progress from Italiano and the Nix. Bring on the bathroom bling in '24! COYN!

Om nom nom nom sounds super good for the ego of the owners.

Someone said that if he ws a rubbish CEO, he would have not re-signed Sony as sponsor. I though sponsorship was actually his forte and what he was initially employeed for so that argument does not hold weight.

When any new people come in, they invariably sweep the old people out because the new people always want their own guys, not someone elses man. That aside, he was Terry's man and I have no issue with the work he did or him leaving. It is what it is. Best wishes.

John Hart is/was a coach, not a sports business CEO and until he has done something noteworthy, then he is not the man for us as CEO outright.Jeff Vader2011-12-09 10:35:38
