Thanks Nathan

Top effort mate!

I hear you were the club there for a while and I hope your next assignment is a bit better supported.

I wonder if Richard Reid would be a starter for CEO. Local guy, heaps of experiance in sports managment, likes football. Might be a problem as he has just signed as CEO for Capital football???? I know he is highly regarded in sports management circles. He took over running the Highlanders when they were squillions in debt and did a good job.

Typical, what the hell are Welnix upto. As an observer from distance the club looks no different to when Terry ran it. But the new owners have money, there is still no staff and now they let go the one guy who has kept the ship afloat. We are the laughing stock. Cheers Nathan, you will never be forgotten by the true supporters. Good luck in future endeavours.

Did he not just have an addition to his family, may be the terms to keep him were more suited to someone with out a young family. (Odd hours - weekends at games etc) We will never know but to place blame is bad form.

Well done Nathan for your dedication through all the turmoil and thanks for sticking around for this long since Terry's departure. Its certainly given the Nix a fighting chance of survival this season.
As to who replaces Nathan...who knows?
Interesting to note John Hart has ended his role with the Warriors.Perhaps he'll end up with the Nix in Wellington after he's done his golf stint, as they develop the Academy? Maybe they'll start a Super Sports Centre of Excellence owning  the Hurricanes, a 2nd NZ League franchise, and hell... chuck in the Pulse as well...why not?
John Hart is/was a coach, not a sports business CEO and until he has done something noteworthy, then he is not the man for us as CEO outright.

Thats right Jeff, John Hart had a specific role with the successful Warriors setup as Director of Football. It wouldn't surprise me to see him involved in a similar role somewhere with the Nix organisation in future.

Improving,,on the up, a work in progress from Italiano and the Nix. Bring on the bathroom bling in '24! COYN!

Have to agree with SBW, why do the phoenix still not have any staff? Good to see Ifil has been resigned.

I have no issue if he came in as some sort of strategic chap but not as CEO. Director of Football for a football club where he has no background in the sport, would not sit well with me either. As least with League, there are some similarities to eggball.

Justin Vaughan couldn't organise a piss up at NZC, why would we want him? I think someone low key is about right. Keep it focused on football and not the man running the empire. We have had too much of that in the last year.

Fair point. I'm guessing now of course but with his experience in working with the Warriors Academy he might offer valuable insights to the establishment of a similar structure for the Nix.Others more knowledgeable of his contribution may be able to set us straight on that.

Ok, can somebody clarify something for me.

Has Nathan resigned from only his CEO role or has he also resigned from his Sales/Marketing gig as well?
