When Stoke signed their adidas deal, they were told that at the time there was no template that had stripes on the back and that "adidas would work with them in the future to get stripes or at least a box of doom on the back" which is why Hull also had a plain back...

So I am wondering if we get a 'off the peg' kit, would it be plain back as well

They wouldnt release it while half the team and the coach have linked up with the All Whites. Would be more likely that they would do so once they are back in preseason training.

Funny that you said that because 'til this day Stoke are still working with the generic Adidas Stricon template... and there are quite a few Pro clubs throughout Europe and the rest of the world (TP Mezembe at the Club World Cup) who are running this as well, and seeing as it would cost Adidas NZ peanuts (especially as its a 2009/2010 template) im willing to bet 100% that the nix will be wearing this template this season... financially beneficial but im not complaining, its an excellent strip.

I managed to acquire a similar strip from Adidas NZ for BNU Reserves, cost the club all of $200 NZ...

Oy, that's a bit harsh. When I lived there my car was only broken in to twice and it also have the tyres slashed and wing mirrors broken off. And that was all in the space of 6 weeks

It's all a bit busy for me, esp the asymetrical kimono neck and lower arm detailing

But then again, I like wearing footy strips that make me look like a sailor

Maybe its the white?

I wish we could get an intricate away strip rather than the plain white ones, but i feel like it will be the latter.
Away stripeys would be great, but even an away thats not white?

That Hull strip is fairly horrendous, I hope the Phoenix one isn't the same style. Same style as the Fernebache is what I want.

why has there been no official announcement on the adidas deal? It seems odd, good news story just sitting there - surely it's a very easy way to show that there are people out there who believe in the club!

Don't think there has been any official announcement of Victory or Sydney either.

Last I heard the samples that were here weren't quite right and had to go for correction. Probably hard to unveil the kit if you don't have one to demonstrate.
