Get Sky to bring in a football commentator pro from Oz (or UK) for our home games, and AW games. Our guys just don't get the chance to do it enough, and end up sounding like muppets.  Mike Cockerill would be real good. The AW's coverage was embarrassing in that last WC qualifier in Dunedin. Does nothing for the game here. League have had to do it.

Fairly unambitious goal...

Uh yeah saw that. Interesting statement. 

Goes along with what Merrick's been saying as well. Definite change in tack from the "just making the finals isn't good enough" that was coming out last season.

Why shouldn't we be aiming to win the league? Even if it won't realistically happen, we may as well try to do it.

And if he/they came out and said the aim is to win the league others would be critical about them being over ambitious/unrealistic/haven't even got a squad yet.

I can appreciate the sentiment but they can't win regardless. Pun intended.

The Press Newspaper starting to cover not only the Nix better but also the A-League.

Every Friday the Super15 and NRL get 2 pages full of analysis plus the weekends games coming up as well as the standings/table.

It's about time the A-League got that too!
