Nix gear: Too hideous to be seen in public

While I was away on holiday in the beautiful wet Hawkes Bay one of my workmates was offered a brand new Grey Wellington Phoenix jacket, bought at that official store. I was gutted, as my entire office are a big bunch of rugby heads and I am the only football fan and Phoenix member on the office floor.

In what I am sure was a wind up at my expense; upon my return from the Monsoon bay, my workmate said to me that the jacket was awful and too hideous to be seen in public. He threatened to destroy the jacket until I intervened and said that I would be delighted to take it off his hands.

 I have decided that I am going to wear the jacket everywhere:

* in the car

* on the boat 

* reading the YF forums 

* posting in the YF forums 

* in the house 

* outside of the house 

* in the office (take that hurricane lovers!)

* in the bed 

* at the IRD office 

* right now 

* where ever good times are had. 

But I was thinking, is this grey contraption with our beautiful Phoenix logo "Hideous?" If so it cant be any worse than the Wellington rugby gear I see floating around can it? 

Is there any Phoenix gear out there which would be construed as being hideously ugly and not fit to be seen by the human eye?

I could not figure out why they went for grey in the first place to be honest. The Yellow/black/white combo works the best. The Yellow track tops with Phoenix stitched across the front are awesome - my next purchase for sure! Lonegunmen2007-12-28 13:51:01

I have one of the tracksuit tops and have no problem with it. It's the style that I wear, and colour doesn't really bother me..

The Desert Storm (see Champs) is said to be hideous by some, but that's just because they have no fashion sense.

The yellow tracksuit jackets are $100 or cheaper. Shop around, I thought someone had them for $70.

Aren't those jackets leftovers from the Knights days, with the Phoenix logo embroidered over the Knights logo?

Kinightzz jackets in disguise. Yeah some even have the logo underneath (same with quite a bit of the non black/yellow stuff)

well to be honest with u .. i think the phoenix's gear is real nyc ..i like the sony kit the best tho !!

I've got the limited edition Phoenix shirt, no Sony logo, only produced for the first 16 rounds or so.

Speaking of Phoenix stuff, I always have my Phoenix wristband and keychain thing on.

I think the board moderator should instantly ban all 'text-speak' rubbish. I get a headache trying to work out what they're saying.

I could use a few more bumper stickers to be honest. I plan to cover the company cars in as much nix stuff as possible in a vain attempt to convert a few of the Rugby faithful (I have converted one so far...)

and my Jacket might be an old Knights jacket but hey - it was free and it shows a better quality logo now.
 
We're not Auckland anymore.
