Apparently last day Friday.

Never mind whether this is a good sign or not.

Just get in there and fill your boots.

Well there's hardly any stock left so it's not worth while keeping it open until more gear arrives.

Exactly.

Long offseason as well, to me it makes sense for it to close for a wee while. I don't see it as a sign things are going tits up.

We already know things are tits up anyway.

This.

It's not the first Nix store to close. Maybe Terry is selling the ASB building - that would be a good thing.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Actually, I knew I was going to have to miss 4 home games this past season so I didn't get one...

Does anyone see the Nix store as necessary? How much money would that thing be soaking up? Would it not be easier to make someone like RYOS the official supplier of all things Nix?

I hope at some stage the Nix get to take proper ownership of the website as well.

I went in last week - there's not much stock at all - a few pairs of boots, some track suit tops, mostly shirts but wouldn't be surprised if most of them have gone by now.

It has closed in the off season before. Makes sense really. demand falls through the off season, new kit supplier next season and I suppose Iffy's and Greenies Missus' want some time off

5this ^, you boys have got to stop the mad rush panic everytime something happens, this is not out of the ordinary - it makes perfect sense. New kit next season so why would you buy new stock to keep the store running in the off season?

I have a $25 voucher but I can't hold onto it and use it on next seasons kit, expires sometime soon I think.  Disappointing.

I concur with making Ryos official kit supplier, and saving the money on the Phoenix store.

Every time I have been in or walking passed the shop, it's been nearly empty, and at times I've gone to buy something, the doors have been locked.

Terry could use the money from renting out the space to someone else, instead of burning it on a facade of a Phoenix shop.

Two points.

1. The property is Terry's anyway and had been empty for a long time before it became the shop. There is no saving to be made there as it doesn't seem an in demand space.

2. The return to the club on an item sold in the club shopis significantly greater than an item sold by RYOS or another retail outlet.Hard News2011-03-10 08:53:17

Like clubs overseas, surely the time to release the new kit is in the off season and new merchanise to keep the club interest up?

I think capacity of manufacturing is a problem for the lower tier clubs like the 'nix - production volume is all at the same time given the season start dates, and the fact that sponsors etc, aren't known till near the start of the season won't help.

Hopefully the clubs being given a free hand in terms of kit choice next season may help deliver stock sooner.

Chris Greenacre is currently in there behind the counter (with his missus) and there are a few mainly kids and ladies bargains left.

Ladies Stadium Jacket only $40, and if you asked nicely, sure he would sign it!

I don't think so, but don't quote me on the supply of scarfs or not. A few 2010/11 large posters left too. One stripey, unsure what size.
