Can't agree with that. Not sure Melbourne we're actually dominating us that much in the first 25mins when they went 3 - 0 up.

I'll say again, if we had some genuine quality up front we'd see quite a difference. Possibly could've even won this game as crazy as that sounds! At the end of the day, these decent/unlucky/creditable performances are no good if time after time we come away with no points.

Commentators now saying what we say every single week about Brown, and yet he's the first name on the teamsheet every week. Amazing really.

Terrible from Durante there. Other than the very rare SigmUnd header, do we EVER score from corners??

The delivery was what made that corner a terrible effort.

Do you not like when Bertos sends corners into the stratosphere?

Hope Ward is ok. Oi medics head clash - Concussion, should not be sitting around on a friggn bench - needs assessment.

Great second half. Took the sting out of the first 20mins.

Was rubbish in the first 45.

Happy with the attack, just a shame we can't finish our chances. Defence had one of those days, almost every clearance landed at the foot of a Victory player it seemed.

Bring on Friday, I want to forget tonight's game asap.

Great second-half. Well played, boys. Sisgmund is a legend. Kewel, well, even as a former Liverpool player (and therefore OK in my book), was a numpty to miss. Glad to see the 'Judas, the Midget' miss as well. Smith, great goal. Overall, gutted at the scoreline, but not how we played.

Hey you bastards I'm still here.

Gillett has had another brain explosion. Maybe he forgot the player was on a yellow card like he did Timmy again.

Rubbish, stick your arm out to block a runner in that area you will (should) always get a yellow. Irrelevant that he was on a yellow, Celeski is the one that should think about that, not Gillet. He didn't do much wrong tonight at all.

Good mix of his native English accent and his adopted American one

Well, to be fair, there are very, very few sh*t Liverpool players :-), Torres, excepted of course ;-)

If he was an Aussie/Kiwi it would be an easy decision to sign him up for the rest of the season. The problem is that we need a striker, and unless we throw money at Killen, we will need to use his quota slot to sign one.

I'd keep him for the rest of the season without a doubt. Agree that he might not be worth it with a reduced import quota though.

kewell is greedy. twice thompson was in a position with an open goal if kewell had passed him the ball. shocker.

bertos needs to take corner lessons from hernandez.

smith played good.

Time for Greenacre to have a spell on the bench. Smith and Ifill up front next week.
When we play a short passing game with Sanchez, Smith and Daniel on the field we actually look quite good. Second half reminded me of away against Perth where we played in a similar way.

Tonight was just a bad day at the office....

SigmUnd and Dura have been outstanding all season - they were awful tonight - they both had lead in their boots which I guess isn't surprising considering that's their 3rd game in however many days.

Lia and Brown were also terrible - I guess the same excuse applies however Brown has been poor too many games this season to be an automatic starter - watch him when the 2nd and 3rd goals were scored - standing around like a stunned mullet.

We look strong defensively when the back four and midfielders mark tight and press together - they were uncoordinated all night.

Griffiths did Ok apart from a coupe of blips - he didn't deserve to be taken off - Lia should have been pulled off if for no other reason than to rest him for next week's game.

Bertos and Ward both put in plenty of effort but neither ever looks likely to score - Sanchez will rightly put one of them on the bench next Friday.

I think Smith earned a start ahead of Greeny () next Friday - playing off Ifill (front man).

Not too despondent - thought we would have been lucky to get a point after the tiring mid week game and with Ifill out. Just glad our GD didn't blow out, which was the worry when we were 3 nil down after 20 mins.

Ifill and Sanchez in and Dura and Siggy back on form - feeling confident(ish) for Friday.
He dribbles a lot and the opposition dont like it - you can see it all over their faces. (Ron Atkinson)

I was watching with sound off while other things were happening around me. Did Lia go to RB for the last 20 mins or so? What did we think of that?

Hope Ward is OK, concussion usually means 3 or 4 weeks on the sideline.

I would suggest that it maybe Siggy that sits next week for his cheap shot. Wait for the judicial.
