Wonder if Stevie T would have a word with Jack Colback? He's publicly admitted he's unlikely to get a look in again at Newcastle, and has been loaned out over the past 18 months. Due off contract at the end of the month
Nix Transfer Speculation 2019-20

The Wellington Phoenix will announce their latest signing this morning. He'll be on @radiosportnz with me after 11.

Announcement here from the Nix https://www.wellingtonphoenix.com/news/wellington-phoenix-sign-new-zealand-no-1
Happy that's over the line - and Gothard isn't going anywhere.
There we go. That should perk up the mood amongst the troops here.
We're going to win the league...
Also looks likes Paul Gothard is staying:
"The kiwi International is looking forward to being in a familiar environment, having worked with Paul Gothard in the All Whites setup.
"The whole time I have been involved with the All Whites, I’ve had Paul Gothard as a coach so the chance to work with him again is one I’m really looking forward to."
Scratch that. PG also just confirmed on twitter that he's staying at the Nix.
Great signing! Well done
Piney saying another signing will be anounced tomorrow.
Another player anouncement tomorrow apparently.
Walter Scott ?
Baumyohan would be good or Heariej

Will surely be Willow? Seems to still be hanging around NZ.

It'll be that Perth youth player mention either earlier in this thread or I've seen on twitter.
Please be William's.

I always thought Colback was a CM/DM able to fill in at fullback

Is Willow still in Wellington ?. Thought I head he was somewhere he was in Northern Queensland with his family.

Don't know where he is, but his plan was to wait for the birth of his (second?) child before making any decisions. Think the child was due in early June, so around now.
Having said that, I think chances of him staying here are reasonably remote.

Chuffed with this news, we really needed something positive :)

Read an article stating he was on GBP70, 000 a week which is about NZ$7mil a year. The article and comments said he was being overpaid but I doubt we would be able to stump up a tenth of that
Is he in the country right now? Could mean a presser with Talay talking about his upcoming transfers...

Marinovic is still in the UK planning to arrive end of the month for pre-season. Had an interview with Piney today on Radio Sport just after 11
Would love to see Rojas back, life in Europe hasn't gone well for him again.

I bet MV are trying hard to get him after losing Kosta.
Covert Agent Asshole reporting that former Perth defender Walter Scott will be our first signing
Wow, apparently that was the good oil
With Walter Scott telling the World that Wellington is 'picturesque', we should expect many more signings!

According to @SircarPrachya, Phoenix strikers Roy Krishna and David Williams have both signed to play for ATK in India.
I'm not surprised by this.
Well, if they both go, I am happy that they both get to rekindle the bro-mance.
I like them both and wish them well.

But they won't score near as many goals without having Singh to assist them.

I'm actually a bit disappointed if this is true. Though I fully get the motivation to set themselves up financially. Both players are, I think, good enough to play in stronger leagues than the A-league, and it would have been good to see them test themselves at a higher level. Though I know Willo has arguably been there, done that after his time in Europe before coming to Nix. Roy though - I was sort of hopeful we'd see him playing in Korea/Japan/MLS perhaps.
But, hey, both deserve their pay day - good on them too, if true.
in a strange way I don't mind people seeing us as a stepping stone to a poorer, richer league.
Might get a few more talents chancing there arm with the prospect of an Indian League payoff.
The Nix need to extract some sort of value though, whether that is a phenomenal season or a transfer fee.
I still think McKain is our only fee (?) but hopefully that can be rectified.
